If you get stuck, you're close enough to take Greyhound buses there.
If you buy more than 21 days in advance, it would cost you about $40
for the ROUND-TRIP tickets. (That's the cost both ways.)
That's presuming a round trip between the Pittsburgh Greyhound Bus Depot
(down the block from the Westin and the Convention Center)
and Mansfield, OH, which is the closest Greyhound Depot to you
(which is pretty close to Ashland, and a 30-minute drive.)
You could also try to take Amtrak there. However, it will probably cost
about 1 1/2 times or 2 times the price for the trip. If you're young,
spry, and broke, Greyhound is a better choice than Amtrak.
(If you're older, have more money, and prefer comfort, the advice is reversed.)
Plus. the nearest Amtrak stations to you are in Elyria and Sandusky,
and those are a lot farther away than Mansfield.
Although, if you DID want to take Amtrak, the Capitol Limited line passes
through Sandusky, Elyria AND Pittsburgh, so you could get on one train and
get off in Pittsburgh. (A train with a full Dining Car, for that matter.)
So, you can carpool with others, or take Greyhound or try Amtrak.
Let me know if you need more advice about Greyhound or Amtrak.
(Their websites are self-guiding, but you might not know when the
best times to arrive, leave, etc. are.)
MOST AC ATTENDEES DO NOT WEAR A FURSUIT OR ANY KIND OF COSTUME.
