Greetings! I was a Super Sponsor two years in a row, but I couldn't afford it last year. Being a new venue, and a higher pricetag, I'm still weighing whether or not to do it this year. One of the things I'm wondering is, what's on the menu for the SS luncheon this year? Will it be the same as always, or is there something different in Pittsburgh than what we had in Philly? Thanks! |

SuperSponsor is well worth it if you can get it.

Yeah, I know it's worth it, I've done it two out of my three past ACs. I'm just trying to decide whether or not I can do it this year.

Last year a three-course luncheon was provided, beginning with a mixed-greens salad and ending with deadly chocolate Bavarian cake with supersponsors given a choice of three main dishes:
Boneless chicken breast stuffed with sausage/apple/sage stuffing and served with roasted shallot bordelaise...
or
Marinated, grilled flank steak, sliced and served with Burgundy wine sauce and sautéed mushrooms...
or
Vegetable strudel with red pepper coulis.
Now, I have not yet seen the catering menus for 2007. Will the same dishes be offered? I don't know, but I'll try to pass it along as soon as I do.

Mmm... I think getting a Super Sponsor membership may have been the best decision I have ever made.

Oooo, cool, thanks! One other question, can I bring a guest to the luncheon if I buy him a meal ticket like at AC '05?

There will be an option to bring a guest (although we need to charge for the extra plate).

permalinkThe beef dinner was fantastic. I even got gnats/fruit flies on the Raspberries that came with the desert. And I had a nice badger stroking my huge Malamute tail.

Kagé, the food rocks at the Westin no matter what is on the menu... as so long as it contains meat. ^^

Yeah, the food was good. And I found out that scraping off the mushrooms wasn't quite enough to prevent my intestinal anaphylactic reaction to fungus. Thankfully, the reaction is very slow-acting and I got it stopped before it had progressed past a few hives. That's why I always have Benadryl on hand.
