Tetris Attack / Pokemon Puzzle League
Just curious if there is any interest in this. I ran this tourney at FC and it was a blast. If people want, I can try running one at AC as well. :3
I havn't played puzzle league in atleast 2 years. Would be awsome to play against others as I use to be able to go on level 10 for 6 minutes with my mom. It's so hard to keep staring that long at the screen. I once had a game go for 13 minutes. I also LOVE tetris. I have a tetris game on my cell-phone, can never get enough tetris.
I'd be join this tourney without thought.
Actually, I forgot to ask... is anyone designated as a lead of gaming events (or something of the sort) that I could try getting in touch with? :3

In my prime, I was able to beat Mewtwo on S-Hard on Pokemon Puzzle League with no continues on a couple separate runs; I'd definitely be up for a tournament in this.
Me and my mom have both beat all the modes on it, but that was a LONG time ago. It has been YEARS since I've even touched the N64, but still would be nice to dust off those good old skills again.
After playing Planet Puzzle League on the DS (though my first exposure was Pokemon Puzzle League), its going to be hard to go back to using a controller again 
yeah thatll be the only thing keepin us from kickin ass. XD ive played Pokemon Puzzle League on the comp via a comp controller & the one on the Wii, & itll be tough switchin back to the ol N64 controller! mine barely moves anymore! D:
I'll probably run it on Wii and VC. So Classic controllers for everyone! ^^;
I'd be happy to participate as well. I may get knocked out of the first round, but hey, better to try than not at all, right?

I'm definitely in on this. I purchased a copy of Tetris Attack last week for my FC Twin, and managed to beat Vs. Computer mode on hard in the first sitting (I know, there's a harder setting, I'm easing back into it). It's been a while, last time I was this into it was on an emulator. I'll do my best to put on a show.
Cool! Always great to have more people enjoying the game! Keep in mind that this will be on the Wii, playing the Pokemon puzzle League version of the game. Just in case you wanted to practice on the exact same game. (There are some very subtle differences between the two)
I won't be able to practice on that version (unless I shell out the cash for Wii points, which I probably shouldn't do this close to AC), but I'll still do my best.
Ah, well the main difference I notice is that in PPL, when you have garbage above you and you move a block to make more room for the garbage, the screen will shake and give you extra pause. Other than that, I think it's the same, minus some very minor timing differences that I can't figure out myself. x3

I'll be more than happy to give any of you a rematch next year; hopefully there's a sequel tournament to this at AC 2011 where I'd be defending my title.

it was fun! im proud i held out for 2 or so minutes for both rounds, even tho i lost. everybody else was just BEASTING at this game!
who was it that beat somebody in 10 seconds? that was insane!

Hey all,
I hope that everyone that entered the tourney had a good time. There are 2 things I'd like to apologize for:
1) Lag. I did not expect this issue, but once I hooked the systems up, I realized how massive the lag was on those TVs. There wasn't any time to find an alternate solution though, so I just had to run with it.
2) Me being stonefaced most of the time. I've been severely sleep deprived, was trying not to crash on the spot, lol. ^^;
That said, good games to everyone, thanks for participating, and I hope to see you again next year!
