Well some things have fallen threw the cracks with my previous room engagement. So I'm in need of a room for AC 2010. If you think you can help me out feel free to e-mail me at or send me a PM. Here is some basic facts about me that I think you should know before you send me that e-mail or PM. 1) I'm 16. I know most people are looking for people that are 18+ and I can completely understand that. 2) I'll be packing light (just one pair of clothes for each day + NO fursuit) 3) I'll be flying in, so if I need to come early that can be arranged 4) Floor space is better than no space xD 5) I'm very clean; BO is a no, no 6) Room parties are fine with me 7) I'm very outgoing and easy to get along with I think that's it for right now, If you need to know anymore add that in the e-mail or PM Thanks for reading!, |
Hey everybody as you can see I need a room again! So I'm posting this to bump my post up.
It's not my fault I'm crazy!
And I'm going to remind you that it is *strongly* recommended that you put whoever you'll be rooming with in touch with your parents well ahead of the convention, just so they know who you are going to be staying with.
Yes, my parents are fully aware of how I plan on getting a room. They said they are fine with it, but like you said they would want to contact them ahead of time.

Are you still looking for a room? If so, I wouldnt mind throwing a group together to get a room from the 23rd - 28th in the Omni Hotel. I could put the hotel in my name (I will be 19 by the time of the con) and I already have my entire budget saved up and planned out so I am set to go. This will be my first con and like you, I too am a light packer, no fursuit (YET!!!!) and I only plan on bringing clothes, some energy bars, and my video camera. (I wont film anyone that doesnt wanna be filmmed of course). I am a non smoker and non drinker, I wouldnt mind having friends in our room for fun after everything shuts down, but nothing too out of control. I can't afford to have anything in the room broken =P

Edit: Also I plan on having at least 4 people total in the room, possibly 5 if we have enough floor space. If I can manage to get 5 people, the cost per night for the Omni will be $135 per person. If only 4 of us then it will be $169. I personally won't be able to afford any less than 4 people total though.
Please note:
Unless you're getting a suite, it's really not a good idea to put 5 people in a room, due to fire regulations, and an even worse idea to post about it on a public forum that is sometimes read by security folks and hotel liaisons.
I believe all of our hotels have an occupancy limit of 4 people per single or double hotel room. They don't normally go around room to room counting noses. If they have reason to believe a specific room is breaking that rule, however, they are obliged to investigate it.
Just a little friendly reminder...
