Some upgrades to the forums
Hi folks,
I rolled out some changes in the forums today, most of which resolve around installing the Advanced Forum module. If you're reading this post (or the comments), many of them should be apparent.
The "user info" section to the left of each post and comment now has some statistics, including number of posts and the date joined.
I've added support for the following social sites/networks:
- DeviantArt
- LiveJournal
- Skype
- Flickr
- Twitter
- Facebook
- Delicious
That list is by no means final, and I am evaluating some other sites to put in user profiles.
To add any of these sites to your user account, make sure you are logged in, and visit the Public Profile page.
I did some tweaks to the "staff" and "board" "user badges" that are displayed. If you are a staff member and want the staff badge, please send me a private message.

Giza, with this upgrade, the warning about the thread being from a prior year seems to have disappeared...
It looks like the Advanced Forum module is using its own set of templates, and not node.tpl.php (which everything else uses).
I'll look into this in more detail when I get home this evening.

This has been fixed.

I think you get one of those by being staff.
If you contribute enough to the con in terms of volunteering and helping out and people really recognize you're putting in effort and making a contribution, chances are it'll not go unnoticed and you'll wind up involved in some way. :]
It was more of a joke, not that funny but a joke never the less, but still thanks for the tip Have you been staff this whole time? I do not remember you haveing a badge but I could be wrong or Giza could have just done that for you.
I just added the badge yesterday.
The old way involved me SSHing into the server and tweaking PHP code.
The new way has a nice web-based interface like this:
I like it, bet it makes you life a lot easier, so that means that everone will have to keep bugging you about something to make it hard again right?

It's not my fault I'm crazy!
I'm having difficulty sending messages.
I'll type the recipient's name in, and once I click on it from the drop box, the "Preview Message" and "Send Message" buttons disappear and I can't send the message. I've tried refreshing a few times and trying again, but the same thing happens each time.
What browser are you using? Specifically, the make and version.
Just rolled out a new batch of changes. I shrunk down the text underneath the user icons, put the real name on its own line, and removed 5 pixels of top margin on the social networking icons.
Any chance of adding Fur Affinity to the list of social sites?
