Convention Center
Hello Anthrocon forums! I'm a Fur who just recently became more involved in the Fandom and am going to Anthrocon 10! This is my first Furry convention as wells as my first Anthrocon and I was wondering if there is any kind of rule against standing outside the convention center around 2 in the morning waiting for the doors to open up and maybe occasionally yelling out "WOOOOOOOOOO! ANTHROCON!"? I ask because I've been to a couple anime conventions and no one seemed to mind. But I know that different places have different rules. So I rather not have someone calling the cops on me for disturbing the peace in the middle of the night and miss the convention.
I should have included Thursday/Friday morning in my post. I mean waiting for for the con to start up officially.
Everything I said still applies. There will be people there as early as Tuesday.
Of course, if you're looking for something to do, we do have a few volunteer opportunities.
Well then I guess I'm not yelling. That offer is surprisingly tempting.
In addition, the Zoo, a social area, is open 24 hours during the official duration of the convention (Thursday afternoon until Sunday evening). It's located in the Westin hotel, along with some of our programming rooms. Even though 2am-8am is usually the 'quiet time' of Anthrocon, there will be other folks about with whom you may socialize, though even the zoo gets subdued.
Also, if you yell at 2am and wake me up, you will be killed in the face. That is all.

You cannot fool me with your cunning ploy; your clever ruse.
You're up at 2 AM with the rest of us.
Curse you, leopard, you've seen through my ploy! *shakes fist*
(..actually most convention nights I'm going to bed just about 2am, and up at 7:30am. The later in the con the later I seem to sleep.)
So what you are saying is that we should wait until about 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning to start making noise and wake you up then.
*meefs piteously*
There has only been one Anthrocon attendee who has ever caused me to be woken up.
Neo...
No one knows for sure, they still haven't been able to locate the person.
Rumor has it they're buried under the loading dock at the Target store at City Avenue and Monument Road in Philadelphia.
All part of Kage's master plan to take revenge on Target for buying out the Adam's Mark?
I was there recently, that place is punished enough as is. They tried to cram way, way too much stuff into too small a footprint and it's a gross knot of stores and hard to get around roads.
But at least the Denny's is gone. That made it almost worth it.
How many folks remember the line in our FAQ: "Why isn't the Denny's listed on the restaurant guide?" (Maybe we are trying to tell you something.)
I thought he was taken care of by top men. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoy4_h7Pb3M
I am intrigued by this story, and wish to know more (on the grounds that the person/situation in question can be talked about in a public forum). XD
Well I certainly do not want to get killed in the face so I will be quieter then a ninja.
Also, if you yell at 2am and wake me up, you will be killed in the face. That is all.
If you wake *me* up, however, you'll *wish* you were so swiftly dispatched. A tired, insomniatic gryphoness is a sheer terror to behold if anyone dares to wake her.
I work with fire, and razor blades, and other implements of the hurty-type, every day. *evil gryn*
If I do wake you up, I shall simple lay down, curl up into the fetal position, close my eyes and hope its going to be as painless as possible!

The yelling probably isn't such a hot idea.
But just standing around won't be a problem. At that hour, though, many people are either:
- Standing around in the convention center itself, just outside of the dance
- Or: standing around outside in front of the Westin Hotel, which is our primary hotel, and attached to the convention center.
