Final Call for Table-top Game Hosts for Anthrocon 2010!!
Hello everyone!
The Table-top Gaming Track is continuing to invite attendees who are interested in hosting a table-top role playing game; collectible card game (CCG) demo, pick up game, or tournament; non-casino card games; board games; miniatures games; party games; and/or live action role playing (LARP) games to contact us.
We have a nice array of games already but there's plenty of room for more. What we seem to be short of are more 1-2 hour long games like "Apples to Apples", "Munchkin", "Chez Geek", "Killer Rabbits", "Arkham Horrors", and other fun, quick and simple to play board and card games that make nice "fillers" for folks attending the convention. Scheduled times for "pick-up" collectable card games (CCG's) or demos of Yu Gi Oh, Magic the Gathering, Brawl, Pokemon or others would also be welcome.
Typically, depending on the type of game, sessions run from 1-4 hours. I also make every effort to not schedule folks during 2 Gryphon and Kage's Story Hour, as well as the Fursuit Parade and Masquerade if that is a concern, once I have a firm day and time for those events.
If you are interested in sharing your talents with friends and attendees at Anthrocon please e-mail me at tabletop.gaming AT anthrocon.org.
Thank you!

Would something like Rivers, Roads, and Rails be of any interest? If so, I could try to pick up a copy (I thought it was out of print, but the link implies otherwise). I find it to be a fun way to Create Ordered Variety (something lacking in my career lately, but that's a separate rant
); while I'm not prepared to commit to hosting anything because I'm usually busy during the entire con, I'd be willing to leave the game in the gaming area for others to play...
Note that it would need about six linear feet of table space...
Hello Ron!
I would love to schedule you in to host a game of "Rivers, Roads and Rails" and providing you with the space to play it won't be any problem at all. While I appreciate your offer to leave the game in the gaming room so it is available for anyone to play, neither myself or the convention wish to take responsibility should it grow legs, get damaged or you find pieces or components missing come Sunday afternoon. We do have a nice assortment of inexpensive games available in the room for attendee use so we don't have a need to keep random games on hand.
I'm not sure how long a game might take, but if you can squeeze some water from the stone and want to schedule a couple hours where you're guaranteed to be able to sit, relax and introduce a favorite game with some new friends, by all means, toss me an e-mail and we'll work together to make that happen.
Thank you for your interest!
