I've seen a few fighting game threads come and go, lets keep this one going ok?

Fighting games have long since been a staple of the nerd community. We love the characters, we love the art, we love the competition, the pounding beats of the soundtracks, the battle cries, the flashy super moves, that hard wet meat packing sound of a confirmed hit, the sudden cheering of a dozen or more bystanders after a good match, all waiting for that adrenaline fueled moment of "I GOT NEXT!!!"

I want this to be a call to all fighting gamers who plan to be at Antrhocon 2010, lets have a blast.

As you all know, the incredibly anticipated Super Street Fighter 4 is being released next week, ans it's more than likley to be a big hit in the game room this year. So, with that being said, I plan on bringing my 42" and 32" panasonic vieras (42PX14 and L32X1 w/ ZERO input lag), a pair of tournament sticks and the game itself, (among other fighters)

I'm considering hosting several tournaments in various fighters.

Who's down for some action?

BlazBlue over here! Unfortunately, unlike SSF4, the next iteration of BlazBlue is being released after AC. Sad

This... because BB's hype anyway, I'd be willing to run a BB related tourney if that's okay. i'll see if I can pack my ps3 and some equipment for SSF4 or whatever to help with any equipment. Smiling

I'd like to play some Marvel vs Capcom 2 while at the con, ya can't object to that, it's a no-brainer. I've got an extra Xbox360 arcade stick I could bring if you'd need; always more joy w/ a joy. Ha, plus the large responsive buttons would be good for fur suiters.

Sounds pretty rad man! I'll plan on rocking it with T. Hawk!

What system are you bringing it for? 360 or PS3?

Ibuki here!!!

I havnt decided yet, but im heavily leaning towards bringing my PS3, that way we can play some older ps2 fighters if the mood strikes, alpha 3, 3rd strike, MVC2, guilty gear, hell even bloody roar!

Eh, i'd avoid ps2 fighters on the ps3, unavoidable input lag due the internal scaler for ps2 games (about 2or 3 frames i think). Better to just bring a ps2 for those.

Well, I have a 60 gig ps3 with hardware emulation for backwards compatability, i was under the impression that the hardware emu ps3's dont have input lag?

i could be mistaken though!!!

Awesome! I'm planning on running it on the PS3 version. I got the game, system, 2 arcade sticks, and 2 standard controllers. Let me know what gear you can bring and i'll shoot the staff an email that we'll be running a tourney. I'm writing up a rule and format sheet now (mostly similar to how Evo runs).

I'll be happy to play some BlazBlue and SSFIV this year.
Hope I can borrow a stick when I'm playing, though. n.n;

Friday: I'll be dressed in a blue T-Shirt, blue shorts, and pink shoes. Will be wearing Toby badges.
