Deadline for submitting an event/panel extended til May 15th.
This is RB, I'm KP's assistant for Programming this year. We are currently working on the Programming Schedule and have noticed a small number of openings in the schedule for additional panels or events. So we are temporarily re-opening Panel Submissions until May 15th. Please read the full post for more information or contact me at rb (at) anthrocon (dot) org.
Here's what you need to know before you submit an Event or Panel at this time:
- There are an extremely limited number of time slots available at peak times.
- We can not guarantee the availability of projectors or other other convention-supplied equipment.
- If you are interested in hosting an Event or Panel and have not contacted us already, you should contact us as soon as possible at programming-2010 (at) anthrocon (dot) org. Please include the following information:
- Name of the Panel/Event
- Your Badge Name
- Time/Day you would like the Panel/Event to be scheduled
- Any events that you do not wish to be scheduled against
- A short description of the panel
- You will need to have ALL information submitted by May 15th.
- We can not guarantee that we will be able to fit you panel on the schedule, but we will try our best to do so.
- You will be contacted either by me or one of our Track Leads within a few days of submitting you request. Do not panic if you do not hear back from us immediately.
If you have any questions, please contact me directly at rb (at) anthrocon (dot) org.

Assistant Director of Programming
There is not a specific "Big Cat Meet and Greet" this year. However, there is an "African Animals Roundtable" and a general "Felines" panel.
If you are interested in hosting a separate "Big Cats" panel, please send an email to Programming (the sooner, the better). Please include the information as described in the main post so we can quickly determine if we can get it on the schedule.

Is there a list of panels suggested thus far anywhere to see if there are any that need an extra hand or an idea of what sorts of panels are being done this year?
Hey there RB! I sent in an email, but it may have been eaten by my would-be-faulty email server. Nudging here to ask just how big your music track is this year, in terms of events held. I'd definitely like to help out!

Hi there! We have indeed gotten your email
We will likely get back to you after working out a few details on our end.
Thank you for your interest in helping out with Anthrocon Programming

Many thanks, RB
Now to chase down my email admin...... *the shire bounds off*

Cool beans. I frontpaged and Tweeted that out.
