Time is running out for hotel rooms and registrations!
Anthrocon is just around the corner! Our pre-registration period will end on June 6, which is just a little more than two weeks away. The cutoff date for reserving a room at the Doubletree is June 9, which is only three weeks away. If you've been waiting until the last minute for either, we suggest you not wait much longer!

EDIT: If you are told that the hotel is full, make sure to say, "I am with the ANTHROCON group." If you are still told that the hotel is full, please contact us. The hotel is not full until we say it is full.
You have a lot of good photos.
At some point I need to make an announcement, mentioning that putting stuff in our Flickr pool is the ticket to having it featured on the front page.
Thank you for this timely reminder; some of us get so wrapped up in dealing with our lives that we let the more-pleasant but less critical events and deadlines get submerged in the hectic stress surrounding us.
I need to finalise my flight plans, and then shall mail in my registration today or tomorrow.
I just got off phone with Doubletree and they indicated there were NO rooms available of any type. Not sure if this is a temporary issue, they're wrong, or if everything really is totally filled.
Are you sure you said ANTHROCON? I called myself at 3 PM today, and was told that we have more than a dozen double rooms and even more king rooms available for the entire course of the convention.
In fact, I just called myself and asked. At first the lady said, "Oh, it's full," but then she said, "Wait, you said you're with a group?" I told her "Anthrocon" and she said, "Oh, yes, I'm sorry, we do have rooms available."
I'll give it another go round and see if they have room available in the block. The person I got earlier didn't sound like they weren't familiar with the computer system.
I have a question. I preregistered a few months ago and found out yesterday that I can't go so i emailed the registration email to cancel and get a refund but I haven't even gotten a confirmation that they got the email. How long does it normally take?
Refunds are processed by a very limited amount of people on Anthrocon staff due to the need for security with money. I handle the vast majority of non-dealer refunds personally. I also have a day job that keeps me working 50+ hours a week, and have no internet access during working hours. Plus, I need to sleep sometime.
So, in short, Refunds are handled when I can get to them. My overall goal is to handle them within 48 hours of receipt, but it may occasionally take longer- or if I'm caught at a good time be handled in a manner of minutes.
We will email you when the refund is complete, as it should shortly be.

Plus, I need to sleep sometime.
Boy, we staff just get needier and needier. What next? Food? Water?
Staff is allowed food during three carefully-scheduled five-minute periods each day.
Chiaro, get back to work.
And this is how we keep Brown Bag Deli in business during Anthrocon weekend...
Sir yes sir!
Yep she and i got it all done cancelation wise. Sadly while we can't go it came at a good time as i'm racking up bills

Weee! The second time a photo of mine has ended up on the front page. I feel special
