Furaffinity Registration Down?
Recently, the past 2 days to my knowledge and maybe more, Furaffinity won't allow registrations. Just curious as to why this is. If anyone knows do tell, I'd like to register so I can start looking for someone to do a badge comission.
Fun... There goes my plans for using it for a comission. I guess I'll try Live Journal next, hopefully I can find one there or maybe even on this sites classifieds. Wonder why they are doing that though...

Probably not. It's most likely either a bug or it was being abused at some point. It could also just be a much more deep rooted problem like a lack of capacity to handle the number of people that want to sign up now.
Call me odd, but I don't think it has anything to do with site glitches or website problems at all.
I know people were flooding the admins with complaints about the lack of control on the site. Banning someone or blocking them from your page was rather moot, they could create another account in less than a minute.
Suddenly without the ability to just create another account, I think people are thinking twice about pulling something stupid to get themselves banned. At least now bans have meaning.
But that's just my theory. I do hope that they open up the site again eventually.
That's a brilliant thought TBH, you -can- generally get an account by requesting it from an admin if you have an established name, which means they of course know who's asking for it.
Abuse sounds likely, just a matter of time thing I guess. Oh well I can wait I guess, but I'm kinda interested to see what caused it.
Im salty as ale that i can't sign up (yeah i know that its not you guys fault) but i tried weeks ago and just thought that i fail. lol
It's been down for months - anthrocon has nothing to do with FA so I don't have much more information than that, and their policy at the moment is basically 'no new accounts.'
Who knows.
