Anthrocon 2010 Dining Guide
That is a great booklet. Thanks to those who put it together for us.
What an Excellent idea. Many "Thanks" to those who worked on putting this together-- and I'll admit, "What a clever idea on the front-cover composition."
great work on the guide. looks amazing. but shouldn't STARBUCKS be (GF)? lol
Just because they offer venti mocha latte soy frappuchinos doesn't mean anything.
Thanks for putting this pamphlet together as always, guys! Glad you put it up early. :3
I notice that the only place on the list that got 5 stars was a coffee shop. I was sure you guys would put furnando's at 5 stars.
During the con, the staff is in greater need of caffeine than food...
Then after the con that need changes to alcohol.
To note: These are not _our_ rankings. These are rankings compiled from yelp.com, and neither created nor endorsed by Anthrocon.org nor by its staff. Do feel free to head to yelp.com and improve the rankings for Fernando's.

I tried to download so I can view it in a better viewer.
When I click the "download" link, it took me to a registration. Are you kidding me? I have to fill out ANOTHER registration to view a PDF? WTH?!
.
Awwww heck no!
The steel city diner has closed?
Where am I going to get nice breakfasts from now
Steel City closed like, right after last year's con. Where were you? ;P
Hey! No mention of Qdoba? There's two of 'em nearby, one right by the Omni!
(Yes, their hours are craptastic, but I've been hoping that an avalanche of furries can convince them to stay open longer...)
Actually both of them are mentioned. Check out page 10 under Mexican.
I prefer Chipotle myself, but the nearest one is a bit of a schlep (U of Pitt area), so I have to get my Coke-can-sized-burrito fix at Qdoba
Both are pretty good as far as healthy eating goes. There aren't many non-heart-attack-inducing options in Pittsburgh, so the few that I'm aware of, I tend to keep close tabs on!
I'll recommend Mike & Tony's Gyros and Shish (which is ONLY going to be available on Thursday and friday!) as having good food... and a rather grim looking serving area. Dark, dingy, just the sort of thing you'd expect from a local eatery that has food so good nobody cares that it doesn't look like they're painted since the 70s. .
We saw nothing but locals eating there. I'm guessing because all the furs looked in the door and saw no seating. The seating is all in BACK. The front section appears to have no seating so as to make sure people can actually get in and out of the place during lunch hour.
Hey Guys! Stop into Cory's Subs and ask how to get your special 10%
discount for the week of Anthrocon.
Wouldn't miss it, I love cheesesteak! What are your hours during the con?
I can heartily endorse Cory's! I went in there for a ateak, and wound up with one cheasesteak and something else - can't remember if it was a pastrami or a polish, but something which I saw on the menu and knew I wanted to try.
The place was crowded, and I stood in line for about 15 minutes, but the experience was one of a lot of people behind the counter and at the grill, working to get the orders done right and with the right options (extra mushrooms!), and it seemed to move fast. I took my dinner back to the DoubleTree.
Well - the steak was "Su-poib", and the accompanying sides went very well, Washed down very nicely with a frosty bottle of Coca-Cola. Definitely going to get a couple steaks, this year!
That is definitely an interesting icon you chose, there - hard to tell from the size, but is that by Terrie Smith?
Cory's was one of our favorites last year. Definitely going to stop by again this year.

Kudos to those who pulled this together... a very nice booklette. Now, just to find time during the con to eat.
