Hey Jamie, I lost my confirmation number for my room...I have it reserved with a credit card, but i need to change the name of the room to someone else's name. Do I need my confirmation number to do so, or can I just call and change it and get a new number? Thanks!

You do not need to present your confirmation number as long as you know what name the reservation is under.

It doesn't hurt to call the reservation department and ask them to give it to you over the phone. Reservations do not get lost, despite people each year crying that "The hotel lost my reservation!" Once in a while, though, the person entering the reservation will make a typo or will misspell the name, and then when you get to the desk they won't be able to find it. Due to my heavy Philadelphia accent, I sometimes find that my reservations wind up under "Conley" instead of "Conway".
