I am wondering what are the hours for Pre-Reg Pick up because I am afraid that Might arrive too late on Thursday to pick mine up and have to wait until Friday and miss opening events. (I have been to a few cons which Reg doesn't open back up the 2nd day until those things are already going on)

Also I am thinking about Upgrading my Membership to a Sponsor Level but it doesn't looks like I can do that online and the mail must be in by next Thursday (I don't trust USPS to have an piece of mail from Kansas City, KS to Pittsburgh, PA in 4 days first class and I am not sure is PO boxes take Priority Mail) and I don't trust them so is it possible to upgrade on site?

On Thursday, Registration will be open until approximately 10pm. It is possible we will have additional late-night pickup of Pre-registered badges in ConOps in room 309, until 2am; this is still highly theoretical. On Friday, Registration will open at or before 10am, well before openign ceremonies; Pre-Registreationw ill have very short lines Friday morning.

You may certainly upgrade to Sponsor at Anthrocon itself; at this point it would be the recommended method. It will be the same price to upgrade ($50) and the process is quite quick. You'll retrieve your Attending badge first from the Pre-registered area, and then enter our Sponsor & Supersponsor On-Site line.

Just to add to what Chiaro said the Sponsor and Supersponsor on-site registration line is a lot shorter than the attending registration line so the wait for the upgrade will not be all that bad.

I have one more question: If I upgrade my Membership at the Con. Do I lose my Badge Number and have to get a new one or do I keep the same number? I have a great number I ended up with and don't want to lose it!

Your badge number shall remain the same. You'll have to turn in your old badge and we'll print you a new one, but it will have the same number.

If you do not have a badge, you will not be able to attend the dance.

However, as Chiaroscuro said above, there is a chance that you might be able to pick your pre-registered badge later in the evening. If you have not pre-registered, there will be no chance of attending Thursday's dance.

Correct. Attendance at the dance requires a badge.
