Time is running out for hotel rooms and reservations!
If you have been waiting until the last minute to register for Anthrocon or to get a room in the Doubletree Hotel, well, the last minute is just about here! Anthrocon's pre-registration will close tomorrow, June 6, and the final day to make reservations at the Doubletree is Wednesday, June 9.

I may need to call them tonight to reserve just in case. Hope I'm not too late.

A friend of mine is telling me that she cannot book at the Doubletree, as they are telling her that all the rooms are booked. Can anyone confirm this?
OH GOD NO! I hope I can still get a room.
It has happened before where the hotel has stated that the rooms were full but they still had rooms left. I don't know if the hotel is full or not but as Kage said above he will be able to verify if any rooms are still available on Monday and I'm sure he will post the information as soon as he can.
Your friend needs to be sure she is mentioning "Anthrocon", for one. The Doubletree and other hotels have held rooms for us, and without mentioning "Anthrocon" the says appear full.
It is also possible certain dates might be full, certain types of room may be full (Doubles, very likely), or such.

When I follow the links to Doubletree reservation page, it says:
"A block of rooms have been reserved for June 23, 2010 - June 28, 2010. The special room rate will be available until May 26th or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first.
...
Book by May 26th to reserve your room"
So it means that the special room rate does not apply any more?
We extended it. Did you try to reserve anyway? Don't dilly-dally!!
Last night, I called them up. The special rate is sold out, but I managed to reserve a room for myself. 
Thank goodness! 
When I proceeded to registration page, all prices were shown as normal, no special rates on any.
The hotels page states that the Doubletree is 65% full as of May 12th. Any update on how full it is now? May be useful to know for those still needing rooms.
