Um... 'kay.
Anyway, I've compiled a list on-the-fly of what kind of cookies I like. ^^
- Chocolate Chip (American classic.)
- Danish Shortbread
- Snickerdoodles (funny name, serious cookie)
- M&M Cookies
- Oatmeal Raisin
Does anyone feel that the Baker Bunny should be tipped for his generosity? ^^

I myself am not a raisin fan my self, but Oatmeal raisin cookies are awesome!
My roomie wonders if you know how to make chocolate no bake cookies. Basically, chocolate, oatmeal, peanut butter, and some other stuff. If you don't know, he can get the recipe from his mother.

permalinkOhh sure no bakes are easy but the only problem I might have is getting them there. Since they have to be stored in a cool place and it gets hot on the 20 hour trip.
It's the reason I wasn't able to give out samples of fudge last year it had all melted into a solid mass
I'm trying a new transport for the fudge but that one won't work for no bakes

What if i generously donate a small car fridge that can easily be powered by the little outlets in a car?

permalinkwell we're comming by bus so that wouldn't work... it would be pretty cool though.
I'll try a small batch I always freeze the cookies before the trip. If I put them in there own container theres no chance of them melting on anything else. All the other cookies should help to keep them cool.

To transport fudge, just separate each piece with wax paper, just make progressively smaller sheets of paper and layer it in, so you don't have to cut up lots of little bits.

something like that ^_^
It will still probably melt, just not into a big blob then. And it will re-harden at the con and you can hand it out!

of course not he can't sell them, actually he isn't really allowed to hand out any food, if the foodservice union has anything to say about it. If it wasn't for this fact I'd be holding a cooking demo at the con. Yep, Baker Bunny isn't the only fur who cooks, I'm a Culinary Institute graduate (er, will be in three weeks)
As for you BB, where do I deliver?
- Login or register to post comments
permalinkI wish I could sell. I did check on getting a booth a few years back but the non compitetitve claus means we can't sell food. But I am working on a bunny themed cookbook I'm hoping to have for sale probably for the AC after this... I'm waiting on a few last art pieces. In some ways this is more fun then selling food, I mean this way I'm not tied to a dealers table and I can hit all the events.
Ohh Anouther culinary student, I had to drop out do to funding problems But I'm only 3 credits from my certificate. What do you prefure cooking or baking? I'm a baker at heart but I'm good all around in the kitchen. Working on several of my own recipies for both sides. Yhe soda chocolates are one and the the triple chocolates are anouther recipie of my own.
Truthfully I'd love to do a dinner party sort of deal at a con. At school it was reasteruant style cooking so it's all about the large seatings so I figure I could handle the volume but I'd need a real kitchen. I figure chicken spegettie, or sweet and sour keilbasa over egg noodles, or lemon chicken and rice...

permalinkI wish I was good in the kitchen, but alas I am only good in the dining room. LOL The way I eat I should be about 500lbs, but I am so high energy I stay around 150lbs. What can you say I am a hyper Malamute.

I'm on the cooking side but still I know a few thigns about baking, and cookies are like nothing. So do you just walk around all day handing out cookies? or... 30 minutes? Can't imagine only a few hundred cookies lasting too long at a con full of hungry furs.

permalinkyep just walking around handing out Cookies and buttons
every year I make more and more and they tend to last pretty well.
I only have a few dozen on me at any one time, so every once in a while I have to turn people away cause I'm momentarily out.
Last year I even had a pie left over
