The Staff dinner, as was requested.
Some people asked for the song I sang at the staff dinner, with Tyrrlin's wonderful accompaniment on Clarinet. The following lyrics are what I *meant* to sing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JuyHKKrywns is what I *actually* sang. Try to pretend I sang the right lyrics instead of stumbling over things.

Mind *that* was based of The Major-General's Song from Gilbert & Sullivan.

Love the singing voice
This was one of the single greatest moments of AC Staff history.
You and Tyr put on one heck of a show!
*arghs at himself and buries face in paws* I knew I'd miss someone somehow.
Sorry. I also know I missed Nicona and SnowQueen, and assuredly others.
Thus my apology in the last stanza. Let me repeat said apology!
I also know I missed Nicona and SnowQueen, and assuredly others.
Just kidding. You did a great job on that song, Chiaro. It was great working with you and the rest of the reg staff this year.
A pleasure working with you and SnowQueen, Nicona. You're both fine additions to my staff and I hope you'll be working registration a long while. Next year we'll get Thorfax in.
Good then. Me, I'm the goddamn Bat-Mong.
Are you quoting Atop the Fourth Wall, Chia? lol
Anyway, thanks for the awesome YouTube video! That was the single best moment of a staff dinner I've ever had.
http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/im-the-goddamn-batman, on the source. And glad you enjoyed.
>.< I went to watch the video with high hopes! And then I just see "An error has occurred, please try again later" Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo
That's been happening to me all the time. I think it has something to do with security settings, because you can double-click on the video which directs you to the Youtube home page for that video, and it should play fine. Does for me.
But for some reason, embedded videos won't play for me.
The video was briefly marked unlisted until it was ok'd
I've updated the settings to public - this should fix any issues in viewing it - do let me know if not.

Why is this in Off-Topic discussion, Chia? Don't you want to embarrass us for all to see? XD
*laughs*
That was one of the highlights of the staff dinner for me! It's amazing, that as much of your time as the con must take, you found time and energy to put that together.
This was great. Thanks for making, and then linking this, Chia!
(And if you're crazy enough to do it again, feel free to shorten to just "Arrow." Got a whole first-name/last-name thing with my handle.)
There is no way I am crazy enough to do this again; first off.
And originally I was going to sing 'Arrow Quivershaft' entire. But the line didn't scan properly, but 'Arrow Quiver' did. Eh.
Ah, ok. That works!
And you'll still be that sane, even if we get Five Thousand Attendees? ;D
*curls into a tiny ball of black and white fluff* We do not say the "F-T" word! We do not say iiiit!
I still can't believe that mentions of my Mom are still that hilarious.
I was originally going to aside "I hear her calling you, Giza.".
I thoroughly enjoyed the singing and felt very appreciated because of it. I would also like to thank Tyrrlin for all the practice she must have put in pre-con to play that song so well.
Indeed. Tyrrlin is a seasoned professional musician, who knew how to direct in our one rehearsal to get things right. I am quite grateful for her help in this. Next year it's her turn to sing, and I'll play the tromboon.
If you felt appreciated, then all our efforts are worth it. That's why it was done.
Hey, Chiaro. Did I ever tell you that Snowie plays the saxophone? She's probably going to hurt me for telling you though. We could almost start a registration band.
Get BucktownTiger on the keyboard and someone on the mic (NOT me... I'm a terrible singer) and we've got it made!
and I'll play the tromboon
Heh, you do know that instrument actually exists, right? AND I know (and have the materials!) to make one!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPsSc_zH06Y&feature=related
Drat, how do you embed video?
Oh dear. oh dear oh dear.
(And I've listened to enough P.D.Q. Bach, so yes I know it's real.
)
D'awww.... shucks. Thanks!
(And I won't tell you how "much" I practiced it, then. *laughs* I'm quite used to playing concerts on a minimum of rehearsal time.)
Somehow it doesn't surprise me that you could pull something that good out of your hat with little to no practice.
We need a Staff Musician* anyway...BUCKTOWN! BUCKTOWN! BUCKTOWN!

Just a joke, I really have no idea what a "Staff Musician" would do anyway.
A Staff musician! Every Good Bird Does Furry?
I would assume every bird does feathery... unless you happen to be a gryphon... then you do both! ^_^
Bravo sir.

Me neither, the staff is pretty well played out by the end of the con without one.
~rimshot~

I haven't heard the accompaniment yet, but as I was reading it, I immediately tried to fit it to the tune of "Yakko's World." XD
~United States, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Haiti, Jamaica, Peru..~
