aw, i wasnt looking the right way. XD; ah well, still is an amazing photo! & the biggest one ive been in since my high school class picture! 8D
I see furry people.
Excellent job on the photo this year. The whole photo is clear and in focus. It turned out great.
As K.P. said at closing ceremonies: "Want to see what three-quarters of a million dollars worth of fursuits looks like?"
Great picture!
Awesome I can see my fursuit clearly, will there be posters available?
Alllllllllllll the way on the right. Down toward the front.
White wolf with heterochromia pink / blue. :3 The skunk aside of me is my fiancee as her character Xiaosheng. ... and the sheep in front of us we asked several times to put their hand down, but I don't think they heard us. LOL.
wow this photo is amazing! I think like a poster said above me having printed posters would be awesome, I would totally buy one.
This photo is much better than the previous. Greater sharpness, virtually everything is organised, and Anita (chillymouse's character) and I (the lion in the purple cape in with the red mane) are right in the front row, with someone lounging in front of us.
Wonderful picture!
Bahahaha... back right behind Master Chief's right ear.
Now to have it turned into a 750 pice puzzle. >:3
I knew I was too short for the photo, even if they shot it on the catwalk overlooking the auditorium. You can barely see my head from like my eyes up. I'm just glad no one put thier paws up to block me even more. :/
I'm in the middle, one fur over to the left and one fur up from the Fur wearing the big pink top hot with the white "X" on it...
I guess better luck next year... or maybe I'll carry a step stool during the parade. :>
We only have one official photo. We should make it clearer next year that if you can't see the cameraman, then you won't be in the photo.
They took two photos! We were told to pose TWO times, once regular and once silly. But only one of them was posted.
It may also help to perhaps remind people that they might check behind them to see what is behind them so they can better choose their pose, have fun, and not accidentally block smaller suitors out of the picture.
Or perhaps next year use that PA system to tell the shorter folk to move to the front. Either or, it worries me every year that us short folk won't be seen too well or at all due to our height.
All in all though great picture. The image is nice and sharp and clear. I like.
Someone needs to dress up as waldo one year, then you actually can put that as a caption under the photo XD
"We only have one official photo. We should make it clearer next year that if you can't see the cameraman, then you won't be in the photo."
So with me being 5 feet tall, if a 6 foot Fur is in front of me, then I can run around to the front of the herd, yes? Or I suppose be at the front of the line when the parade starts. But either way, us Vertically Disadvantaged Furs should be recognized... :>
On principle, I would agree. Logistically speaking however, it would be a nightmare to try and round up all the shorter fursuiters for the front of the photoshoot. It's hard enough just to get everyone there and looking at the camera.
Plus, then anyone who felt small (whether or not they actually were short) might start clamoring for special treatment and ask for the front of the parade photo.
I can't speak for the con, but I'd say if we had some REALLY short people (think: Mini-Me), they might be able to accommodate such people in a discreet manner. But anything more than perhaps two people asking for the front would start to complicate the photo and cause delays. Maybe there is something they can do about that next year, it's worth suggesting at least.
I just wish we could do something like what MFF did back in '08 when I attended. They got a photographer in a very high place for the photoshoot and there was no problems seeing everyone. However, MFF had the advantage of being in Illinois in November, and the photoshoot was outside to keep everyone cool. Anthrocon has no such advantage.
Yeah, I see that can be a problem, considering we had 700 some Fursuiters... So i guess I'll just have to make sure to stay by the exit of the ballroom to be towards the front of the line to be in the parade's front row for the picture, or else you may only see the tip of my ear :>
I just think it would be wise for any fursuiter NOT to raise their hands too high over their heads - I see many a poor suiter with their faces completely blocked by someone's paw/arm.
I also concur with trying to get some semblance of short to tall. The military's way of doing this is useful, with one small change - "If you're /shorter/ than the person in front of you, tap them on the shoulder and move forward!"
I remember last year the only reason I made it into the picture is because I moved to the side, the very edge of the mass. If I had stayed where I was I would have been blocked by people who throw up their hands in the shot. One might think it a good idea for this to be addressed next year, reminding people of how rude it is block other people out of the picture by throwing their hands up like so many of them do. We can take a good picture without all that paw waving in the air and blocking of people.
Situational awareness...is not only good for online games but also good for our fur-suit picture.
If there are as many suiters next year as there were this year, and I'd imagine we can only grwo, than I'll have to talk to Yappy or someone in the fursuit Track about this. I know it's crazy to try and wrangle over 700 furry & hot suiters, but there's gotta be something can be done, even if it is this like the poster 2 above me said:
"If you're /shorter/ than the person in front of you, tap them on the shoulder and move forward!"
It is hard enough just getting people to line up. Trying to get people to line up in a specific order is simply asking too much.
If you're in a group photo and you cannot clearly see the camera, then you need to find a position where you can see the camera. That's really all that can be done.
The camera was moving, so I sometimes saw the camera and sometimes didn't. In both photos I thought I had a clear shot when I thought the camera was in the right place, but I guess not.
Stahi, that is epic xD Count on the stage ninja to bring us that awesome picture lol.
with the right cam and software you could a photo stitching program like gigapan or another and take a lot of high res photos and stitch them together.most dslr and a small stepper motor and some software are needed to make a nice and very large photo.
I'll just have to ninja myself in front of i want anything but the tips of my ears to be seen. :>

-did you pull my tail?
