So, for all the furs who've participated in Masquerade skits...
How do ya do it? Between rehearsing, organizing it, getting everyone as stoked as you are, getting it set in stone, then prodding everyone to make sure it happens? .-.;
Do you have to register anywhere to put on a skit? Can we just show up backstage and say that we have a skit?
You must show up at the masquerade rehearsal which is usually from 9:00-11:00 Saturday morning. This is where you give KP information on your skit (whose in the skit, any sound tracks, etc.) and you will run through your skit at least once on stage. You don't need to stay for the whole rehearsal, you can leave once you have run through your skit. If you just show up at the masquerade wanting to do a skit but did not attend the rehearsal you will not be able to perform. By the time masquerade starts KP has already determined the order of skits according to the information he received at rehearsal.
It is not really all that difficult. The hardest part is just coming up with an idea for the skit and writing a script if needed. For my mate's and my skit it was easy rehearsing because we live together. My mate was also in another skit with Captain Furry (who lives in a different state then we do) and he just sent her a sript so she could memorize the lines before hand. They actually only rehearsed the skit together twice during the masquerade rehearsal, once before they were called up to the stage and once on stage. If you get people who are interested in doing the skit with you very little prodding is necessary.
