This will be my 4th AC, and I'm pleasantly looking forward to it. I intend to make it my best AC experience ever, by not trying to scrape together the money for the trip a month prior

No, it's not weird. I'm excited now especially because I have a room and roomates now, and because I'm DJ'ing the friday night rave! I'm super-excited. This DJ set will practically be months in the making, hehe.

permalinkAfter I attended my first Anthrocon in 2004, I have existed in a constant state of excitement. I coun't down each day to Anthrocon, and as soon as AC is over I start counting down to the next one. Its what keeps me going. I make it through each day by reminding myself that its only x number of days till AC.

I'm looking forward to this year, however, its a different kind of excited. This year I know what to expect, where last year I never had a clue, since I never been to a convention then.

permalinkThis will be my second AC, and my third convention overall. Last year's AC was my first convention ever, and I enjoyed it very much. I was going to go as a supersponsor this year, but a friend of mine won't be able to make it. So I'm just going as an attending member, then I'll go visit him after AC.
I'm excited about this year's convention mainly because Rob Paulsen is going to be there. And I look forward to it and many other ACs and other conventions down the road.

I'll get a head start next time
This past year I had some relationship issues (I had been with a non-fur whose acceptance of furry and of the convention was questionable) which made it hard to decide what I was going to be doing. However I'm not planning on that happening again, and of course Ibiza happened to need a roomie for that room you got her, so I just got lucky, hehe! Maybe if it works out I can always just room with her and whoever else ends up in the room, I dunno.
*hug* It's extra exciting to know I'll already have friends when I get there!!

Does checking the Anthrocon website every day since Further Confusion ended, counts as being excited? *bounces!* Seriously, I can't wait!

I have never been to AC before. (Admittedly, never HEARD of AC until just recently. I am new to the furry realm, so that might attribute to some of that.
I am not certain what exactly to expect, (I trust it will be better than those Real-estate conventions I attend IRL. Those things are about as exciting as watching paint dry.)

permalinkI check out the site about once a day, twice if I'm off of work. I'd do the same for the FC board except that it's pretty much just dead in the water. In fact I don't think that other than admin messages and announcements, that there's been a posting on it since last year.
Anyway, I am pretty excited. I have a spectacular time at AC and I do make it a priority to go every year now. I'm here to stay

Now now! I would expect their boards to quiet down after the con is over, just as ours do. I think that all conventions go into a hibernation mode for at least several weeks (if not months) after the last furry leaves the hotel.

IF that is so, then I will never leave the hotel! O.o

Well, part of that is due to the "recovery mode" which all con-staff go into, but also part of it is due to them having both a website forum board, and a LiveJournal site. Messages do not get cross-posted between the two, and that fractionalises useful communications.
I _can_ say, from both close observation and from comments made after the fact, that Dr. Jerry Pournelle enjoyed himself immensely - and may have caught the Furry bug, to boot.

So excited that I cooked up an AnthroCon LIVE countdown script and went ahead and plugged in the next years dates too ^_^
As for the countdown script itself, its a technical marvel, its the same time no matter where in the world you are, and changing your local time won't speed it up
For the longest time I thought I was doing something wrong when the site counter said 103 days, and my script kept outputting 104 days, I then concluded that the site must be counting down to the day ticking over at midnight, where as mine goes to 10 AM the next day. (wouldn't know what time things got going because haven't been to an AnthroCon... YET)
Feel free to use the page however you want.

permalinkOkay, I'll concede. You *may* be a bit more excited about it than I am. And you definitely have a few metric tons more free time than me.

Hmm... yours shows 104 days while the one on this website shows 103 days. What timezone is the counter running in?
BTW, the hundredths of a second time resolution made me giggle.

I trust I can make at least one friend/acquaintance, while I am there.

Its currently set to "July 5th @ 10A-OH! Got it! *Is in California, removes 3 hours from the trigger time*
That is, well, what time does the con "officially" start?
And yes, I have to agree the milliseconds just make it awesome, it would have 3 digits but the 3rd exhibits a rare bug in some video cards that shows a "lagging" digit

I'm CERTAINLY excited, being this'll be my third Anthrocon.
Aside of not having a fur-suit yet, I'm attempting to maximize this year's Anthrocon experience by going SS!
Mewls gleefully
Hopefully this time I'll have my schedule a bit better worked upon compared to last year. As what Sunshadow stated earlier up this thread, this will probably be one of the few or only times I can actually get out of the regular lifestyle and just cut loose. Always eager, but sometimes intimidated to meet new furs of any sort. Smugs
