Super-legit AC review.
I couldn't find any major complaints this year. Each AC is another year of streamlining, making things better for my friends and I, less drama and stress.
Video game room - Spent most of my time here, met a lot of decent folks. Provided pretty much everything for Rock Band. Nobody abused my instruments too badly, only had to ask a few to take their shoes off. Minor gripe was someone who needed to play their boombox loudly in a room full of rhythm games. Awkward and annoying.
Smash Bros. tourney - Loved being the emcee, even though I didn't actually run the tournament. I enjoy being a loud voice when it's useful to have one.
Rock Band tourney - I'm always amazed when people can come together to enjoy something, getting along even though things are hectic. I didn't have any special plans for the tournament, and keeping everything improvised turned out to be a lot of fun. People were generous, patient, and put on a good show.
DDR tourney - Participated like usual, decided I'd back down if a 10-footer was chosen, and that's exactly what happened. Didn't make it any less fun for me, I'm just a man of my word. The finals were a delight to watch. Props to everyone who did their thing.
If anyone has any pictures from the Rock Band tourney, let me know.

I never didn't get your position of "don't play music loudly", but there's a difference between providing music for a small group with the consent of everyone around you and blaring it to a captive audience.
And he wasn't much of a bother, at least he played some decent '80s hip-hop.
I likewise don't really understand the need some people seem to have for walking around with their own personal theme music playing. I just chalk it up to individual oddness usually.
Thanks for the feedback on the VG room. You were a great loudspeaker! ^_^
If I remember right, you had a sign for rules for your eq. (A great idea btw, considering how much use they had) Would something like a plastic sign holder thingie help with visibility? Like this one?

Thanks. And yes, such a thing might help. I'll rig something up for next year, which will be very necessary considering I'll have to deal with guitar + bass + drums + three mics + keyboard and stand.
Also, thank you for the response. It was kind of depressing that I had such great times with so many people, and my only response on here was an "I told you so".
"I likewise don't really understand the need some people seem to have for walking around with their own personal theme music playing."
that brings to mind an auto insurance company radi o comercial where they guy saves so much money he hires a band to follow him around and play him a theme song everywhere he goes
ROY
ROY ROY ROY
ROY ROY ROY
ROY ROY ROYYYYYYY
I think I'm thinking of that starbucks commercial.
You must see the Wayans movie,"I'm Gonna Get You Sucka". There are TWO people that have personal theme bands, one of them being Isaac Hayes (SHAFT! Can you dig it?)
"This is my theme music. Every good hero should have some."
YES!!! +20 cool points for you, too! But I realized it wasn't Hayes, but Bernie Casey who had the other band...
Oh, this one? <:

Do you understand my position now? Things might be fine for you but in the end someone's going to be bothered and disturbed while trying to do something if there's someone generating lots of extra noise where it shouldn't be.
