Well, im new to this site, and im planning on going to AnthroCon 2011 (first con for me! yay! )
and none of my friends really like furries 
so i would like someone to meet up with at the con.. at least to show me around or something.(though i wouldnt mind getting a new, really good friend! 
)
I realize AC '11 is a YEAR away, but hey, at least i can chat with you for a while and we can get to know each other and stuff, right?

Yeah I think it would be better then saying "Hey, I like your fursuit. Wanna hang out?". But I don't mind meeting new friends, either.

Yeah, I agree. I'm already excited. ^_^; I still need to mention something to my mother, though. However I can't mention right now, or atleast until later tonight because she is at a convention herself, for her work.

If folks are hugging you after you've asked them to stop, please feel free to talk to one of the security people in pretty red shirts; they'll be happy to have a word with those folks about respect for personal boundaries.

I definitely plan on going to Anthrocon 2011, it will be my first year. I don't actually know any other furries. Well, I might, but if I do I don't know that they're furries. Not an easy topic to bring up. I guess it would be nice to know somebody there ahead of time. Still have to talk to my mom about it though, I figure as long as my grades are good and I have plenty of money in my bank account I can talk to her a little bit before hotel reservations are open. Although I might not actually mention that it's a furry convention since it's a little embarrassing for me. I think she trusts me enough to just know that I'm going to a convention. I'm rambling.
If you are under 18 at the time of Anthrocon, you will need one of your parents to sign a parental consent form, to note. I think you might feel free to at least mention the convention *name* at the very least. We do have the 'how do I get my parents to let me come to Anthrocon' question come up a lot, enough that answers are on http://www.anthrocon.org/faq/minors .
Oh, I'll be 18 this December, my mom just needs to know where I am because, you know, I live at her house.

I am not sure if anyone mentioned this to you, if so I apologize, but have you thought about volunteering! I found it to be a whole lot of fun and I meet some really great people while doing it and seeing as I am a really shy person it was a good way for me to get to know people and then later see them around the con. Anthrocon sounds so much fun :3 i wish i could go since i have never acctually gone before but i am having money and parental problems so i wont be going for a little while >.> even though i cant go i do wanna still make new friends and keep up with wuts been hapening.
