I feel extremely lonely in my much maligned musical menagerie, so if anyone likes bands like Dark Tranquillity, Necrophagist, In Flames, At The Gates, etc. Hit this board up! I hope to see it Flamin hot! Unless you know, I'm the only one :S

Quite a metal fan. More into heavy metal (older Sabbath, Priest, Maiden), 3 Inches of Blood, At the Gates, Iced Earth, Brocas Helm.

I made a similar thread about hip-hop, hoping to meet up with other furs at AC, and was told this wasn't the appropriate message board to talk about music. Just letting you know.

Love iced earth. However the bands you listed arent quite heavy metal, thats borderline hair metal (which is awesome!)
The bands me and the OP listed are more death metal and Black death metal.
Amazing how many different metal genres there are. Same can be said of Electronica and other music types.
Id love to meet up with people at AC11 with the same music interest as me, just makes the whole convention that much better.

I think it is best at this point to move this discussion to a more appropriate forum. I'm sure there are thousands of discussion boards out there for Heavy Metal music appreciation.
