The lowest number badges are already reserved for the Board of Directors, Staff and Guests of Honor. I doubt that will change.

While it wasn't astoundingly expensive, we'd rather keep that for continued use rather than purchasing another.

Hmmmm... Maybe it could be a long-term item, much like how it took years to get to DI tag #1000!

The Dorsai Irregular Eartags. They gave out 200 every year (I think). This past AC they auctioned off the one labeled 1000. See the epic battle HERE.

Anyway, once you guys decide to get a new flag or our current one gets worn or torn, we can auction it off!

The low-number badges are an interesting possibility. Traditionally at Anthrocon we have indeed reserved the lowest numbers for the board, guests, and staff; currently general memberships begin at #251.

I would think an elevator pass would seem a bit gauche of an auction item, personally. I'd have to say no to that.

Dex is very welcome to offer magic lessons as an auction item.. but that's entirely his choice, not Anthrocon's.

The subject of elevator passes came up in another thread ( http://www.anthrocon.org/node/5749/my-official-suggestion ) and Uncle Kage responded with several reason why AC would not want them so they are probably out of the question.

Services are rarely accepted aside from commissions due to Anthrocon lacking leverage to ensure proper fulfillment, while being expected to be responsible for restitution. Tangible content tends to carry less risk.

How about dinner with Kage on another night?

Maybe one or two parking spots in the Westin's garage for free. (They DID donate a room) I realize this may be pushing it but it IS just a suggestion.

Parking else where for free..

Actually, they didn't quite donate the room.  And we have no control at all over parking.

As for dinner with Kage, I doubt anyone would pay more than a nickel to watch an old man shovel down a few bites in thirty seconds before running off to tend to some emergency.
