Was this the post you were looking for?
AFAIK, it was never moved or deleted.
Thanks Giza, that's the message..doh! I don't know why I couldnt find it... If you want to delete that old post please do.
I never thought travel pictures could be so psychedelic (and the kids in some photos sure look mesmerized). Looks overall like a superb event. Now I want to go a little more.
I've never heard my con photos described as "psychedelic" before, LOL, but thanks! Fursuiters come in all shapes and colors.
I remember back in the seventies or eighties hearing how Pittsburgh was a "dirty and old industrial town" (probably by some sport reporters or Chiefs or Cowboys fans) but when I went to my first AC in 2008, I was very surprised how photogenic the city was.
You and me both, Brother. I last visited Pittsburgh in the early 1980's, and it was smokey, gray and depressing. When the Pittsburgh Convention and Visitor's Bureau finally cornered me in 2004 after I'd been yelling "No!" at them, all they asked me was to come out and see the city for myself. I was astonished at the way things had turned around.
Just for laughs I bought a copy of "Flashdance" for $1.98 in the bargain bin. It was filmed in Pittsburgh about the time I was last out there and boy, is the difference striking.
If only Mexican cities followed Pitts' pattern. Even if they industrialize, they're still stuck in a downward spiral of poverty (and, thanks to these industries, pollution). Oh well, such is life.

I remember walking out of the DLCC back to the Mariott and doing a mental "WTF???" when I saw Asteroids being played on the side of the con center.
BTW can we please have Atari Tempest, Star Castle or Omega Race for next year?
