The Fish (or whatever) That Saved Pittsburgh
On Twitter it came to my attention that an unusual number of coyotes I follow were born in March, and are therefore Pisces. Which made me think we could do a "Fish that Saved Pittsburgh" photo shoot at Anthrocon. Which made me think each sign could do a "[Sign animal] that Saved Pittsburgh" photo shoot.
In keeping with the magic theme, I propose we have a series of astrology photo shoots throughout the con, where anyone with a particular sign can be in the photo, not just fursuiters. For March, "The Fish that Saved Pittsburgh", for April, "The Goat...", for May, "The Bull...", etc. For the non-animal signs, we could somehow find an animal to represent them. We can also have a bonus shoot for Ophiuchus, "The Snake..."
The photos can be compiled into a calendar for the next year, and prints sold separately, to support the convention and any charities. Besides the main photo for the month, particular fursuiters can have separate photos embedded among the dates in the calendar. The convention could also deal with Pittsburgh's promotional people to distribute the calendar as a souvenir.
THIS RESPONSE ONLY SERVES TO MAKE THINGS MORE UNCLEAR.
Maybe this will help...
i'm really, really confused
1) why did the ______ save pittsburgh?
2) what's the point of just grouping animals of different types together and calling them fish?
3) who is going to design and pay to print the calendar
4) who is going to pay for the prints of fursuits standing around (on the production or consumer end?)
4a) what day comes after Sunday!?
This whole idea is like, going over my head or something.
The film was also mentioned in the last season of MST3K when Crow T. Robot asks the real-life Leonard Malton, (the only celebrity guest star to appear on the show), whether Hollywood was working on "yet another" remake of the film.
On this note I had not known that Pittsburgh had an ABA basketball team, especially one with a furry mascot.
*ideas slowly start to form*
(Looks at Chiaroscuro, raises eyebrow) Just remember, not all ideas are good ones...
Of course do you really want to memorialize a team that lasted all of three years, (one in Minnesota)?
Ask Uncle Kage. He had this idea of running a small furry con...
Ya' know, I still don't think that he's gotten there yet...

well if you do that you`ll need to pose with a basketball
