At previous AC's there have been three auctions.  A charity auction, an art auction, and an adult art/item(ish) auction.

My question is about the latter of the 3.  I have an item that I would like to put up for auciton, but I don't know if it is allowed.  It is not perverse or anything like that persay, not even graphic.  All it is, is a costume(ish) bondage(ish) muzzle.  (I say bondage[ish] due to the fact that there really isn't anything being "bound".  The muzzle is basically a dog face that sits ontop of your person face, and is held up by a couple of buckles in the back.  It's more costume/latex fursuit than adult item, but the fact that it is made out of industrial grade rubber and looks like a furry take on general fetish wear makes it seem best suited in the adult auction.)

I guess my question boils down to: Is bondage-esque gear appropriate in the auction?  I know one year a paddle was up for bids, and sold really nicely, but I don't know if that sort of thing is common or not.

Just thought I'd ask.

The latter of the three is part of the art auction.  We prefer to auction any items that are not suitable for younger viewers in the evening in a controlled environment.  It is not an auction for general merchandise.

So, things such as sculpture or fursuit/costume pieces wouldn't be allowed?

If the items were in the art show, and had sufficient bids to take it to voice auction, then it would go to the art auction or the mature art auction.

The latter two are the Art Show voice auctions, one for general artwork, the other for mature. As K.P. said, items don't go to the voice auction unless they receive enough written bids.

Sculpture and fursuit pieces are welcome in the Art Show, but you can enter only works you create; as Kage said, it's not for general merchandise, nor to sell items you bought from another artist.

Since you describe this piece as bondage-esque gear, and most people would characterize it as such, that would put it into the mature category.
