Okay, I've been sifting through my Anthrocon 2010 stuff (totally still have that, even after moving!), and I've been trying to find out when Registration is open for picking stuff up. I've had no luck with the program or at-con guide, so I figure I might as well ask here:

What are Registration's hours this coming year? More to the point, my flight should be arriving at about 8:10p, meaning I'm probably not going to reach the convention before about 10:00p; do I have any chance of getting my Registration on Thursday night, or should I just say 'forget it' and try on Friday? (If it's at all relevant to the answer, I've already pre-registered at Attending level.)

Thanks in advance!

Last year pre-registration pick-up started around noon and on-site registration started a little after that on Thursday if I remember correctly.  That is around the time we shoot for but we will open up a little earlier if we are ready.  I believe registration closes around 9 or 10.  However after registration closes the pre-registered badges are given to Con Ops so if you are coming in late and registration is closed you can stop by Con Ops to pick up your badge.  Those who are not pre-registered will have to wait for registration to open before they can get a badge.  For the rest of the weekend we open around 9:00am.

Our official opening times have not yet been posted; we do need to get on that. ROUGHLY, our NOT YET OFFICIAL hours will be as follows:

Thursday:

Pre-reg Only 1pm-3pm

All Reg: 3pm-10pm

Friday: 10am-10pm

Saturday: 10am-6pm

Sunday: 10am-4pm

Now, we tend to open early, especially for pre-registered attendees; we can open pre-registration with one assistant director and a hung-over banana slug. But these aare medium-to-guaranteed times.

As Nicona mentioned, we typically do a late-night pickup at ConOps (room 309) for Pre-registered attendees only. Usually that starts from a half-hour after the close of registration until 2am on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings.

At least I got close with the hours.  Wasn't sure as I was posting from memory and working reg tends to be a blur, especially on Wednesday night and Thursday.  Thanks, Chiaro.

No no no no... you've got it backwards.  It's a hung-over director and an assistant banana slug!  XD

Hey, either way it's a downgrade; last year, Chiaro himself needed a bic pen and a hungover ferret to open re-reg; now it's just a hung over banana slug, no pen, and an AD will do.

Clearly this is a sign of our Registaration Director's devotion, that he keeps working to better his abilities. Eye-wink
