Guest of Honor Panels - Announcement
Hi all!
The schedule for Anthrocon 2011 is in high gear as we are getting into place the guest of honor events. With Andy Runton and Peter Beagle as guests of honor, it's hard to imagine how the guest of honor track of events could possibly get better....but they have! Not only do we have this year's guests of Honor, but we also have some returning guests of honor who will also be providing programming for us! We need to thank Bill Holbrook and Jim Martin for returning to Anthrocon to speak in panels.
So what kinds of events will we have from this year's guests of honor? How about these:
Andy Runton will be doing a "How to Draw" panel in the style of Owly, a panel all about the developement of the Owly series, and a panel on getting your works published! So our fans will be able to learn some drawing techniques from an award winning published artist, and on how to get your works published. This should be invaluable to many of our attendees!
Peter Beagle will be hosting a panel on fictional writing, and will be doing a live reading from "The Last Unicorn". Both of the guests will be at a "Meet the Guests of Honor" Event. Our writers will be able to get information from a truly remarkable author and we would encourage attendees to come to the reading. To hear a work read by the author is a unique and rewarding experience!
To make things even better, returning guest Jim Martin will be hosting events discussing his participation in shows such as "Sesame Street", "The Great Space Coaster", and others. He will also be hosting a puppet clinic to let you improve your own puppeteering skills. And he recently agreed to also host an event discussing his work with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie. This will be a talk about the high tech puppetry involved in that film series. As a special bonus, his wife Crystal will be offering more hand painted Christmas ornaments in the art show this year! Be sure to stop by and see them!
Bill Holbrook will also be participating in a WebComics roundtable with such artists as The Gneech and John Lotshaw. Bill has been returning to Anthrocon for many years, and we're delighted that he'll be taking part in Anthrocon's programming again!
Anthrocon is truly fortunate to have many of our guests of honor return in subsequent years. I hope that you will take the time to stop and thank them for coming back and making Anthrocon a truly wonderful event for the furry fandom!

Bill holbrook is always a delight, and i've been particularly hoping for months that we could lure the martins back.
Now if you'll excuse me, i need to go bask in the anticipatory glow.
