Leaving from around mid-Long Island. If you live further east and took a train to Babylon station I could get you there. Icould use some contribution towards my gas and tolls expenses, its about $60 in gas alone. I'm debatin between takin the MegaBus or driving cuz the price is quite right for the bus, however I enjoy driving with teh windows down and the music up over sitting on a bus and Id like to make some new fuzzy friends. If I can get 2-3 passengers who wanna split the cost I'll drive it with ya guys, otherwise I'm bussing it. I'm drivin a 97 Kia Sephia. Ish not a BMW, but I take care of it, its clean and comfortable, and its got a kickass audio system ^___^ |
Stevie: If your parental consent form is signed by your parent or legal guardian and notarized[*1], then your parent does not need to be present with you at Anthrocon. That's the case for attendes from 13-17.
[*1] Notarized means that the signature needs to recieve a stamp or seal from a public notary; this is a service widely available and usually costing under $10.

I still need one or two more friendly furs to help split the cost, but I'm sure we'll get em soon enough; I only posted a day ago. Just make sure you dont forget to get the document notarized!! Mom, dad, or guardian has to be there with you to get it notarized or the notary won't stamp it.

My grandmother thinks that the con is all about acting and what not and she thinks i shouldnt go scince i dont like plays and such but i really do :/ then again i dont really want to tell her what a furry is scince i will most likely screw it up with explaining which is why i wanted her to contact Chi or Unclekage or others who were willing to help so they may answer her questions.
I was just hung up on by here before i posted this here and its making me worry if im going or not now but my chances are still above 75% she must just be mad atm from something else

If i get the forms sighned i may go alone thats what i plan on. If i get my mother to sighn it then she cant say anything scince i do legally live with my mother and my grandmother is just a guardian to me now.
I live in Florida but every summer i go up to NY till August so if you live near babalon/ lindenhurst NY then there is a possibility we can hang one day when im there.
So as of right now i need the ride. i will be attending alone most likely. and i have a room share set up allready just gotta let the person in the room know it will just be me now.

I understand your nervousness about explaining things. Do your best with that, and admit to her you're worried you'll mis-explain. Show her youtube videos of the con- that's a good way to let her understand some of the cool things that occur. And if she has concerns, I am available to speak with, of course.

Just be warned i like to have big parties and sometimes i play music through my mic. its loud but awsome quality ^^. i also cant play no games sadly my Xbox overheats alot i can barely play a full game of MW2 and forget Blops i run it and then instantly shuts down overheated :/. i hope to get a new one this summer though. all i do now on my Xbox is chill at the Dash and chat with my buds ^^. oh BTW my friends on Xbox are MOSTLY all furries... and some are a bit... lets just say there too 'iffy sometimes... >_> but yeah thats just my friends and how they are and such.
Also i am usually hyper and active in a party unless im typing on my computer like i was just now i was completly silent :x
Im a computer technician and I luv video games, so naturally I know the Xbox in amd out 
I can makes it work flawlessly, just bring it to LI with u an ill fix him up ^___^ Mine has a blue glowing fan stickin out the side of it for that exact same reason, havent had a problem since.

I'm plannin on leaving early (5-6am) the day of, we'll be there in the afternoon. Also, they stopped selling those fans because they didnt work. All youll need is a good dusting, a hole cut out of the side, and a fan put in just above the 3 main heatsinks. It drops the core temperature by over 100 degrees F during gameplay, huuuuge diff. When are you comin up?

Still hoping to go really badly i cant wait to meet all the friends i will make and in 1 or even 2 years i will make it my duty to go to every con i can possibly go to. like ive said to many other friends i love being a furry its the best decision ive made my life. trolls dont effect me. im a furry for life. as long as i am alive and kicking im living on paws. i am not afraid to hide who i really am which is why i want to meet all these other wonderful people like me and these conventions are a way for me to do that.I even told half my school im a furry and i met a few others in my school actually from that. i relized not being a closet fur makes me meet more awsome people ^^.
This con will be my breakthrough. besides having a good time and meeting or atleast seeing the people i want to up front in person muzzle to muzzle i will have reached my current goal. AC 2011 is my top priority right now besides passing my finals :3.

Well, essentially, itd be nice to somewhat split the cost of travel. Its a long drive, and my car is fairly fuel efficient (25-34mpg), but it does add up and itd be cool if I could still afford to do stuff while I'm at the con I'm really not sure how much this will cost me in regards to tolls, if theres some site I could go to that would calculate gas and tolls, someone plz point me to it.
Aww come on people, I don't bite I need another fur or two from southeastern NY to help split the cost a bit. If the loud music is a deterrent, Im not an aHole, I would have no problem turning it down a bit for a guest, lol. I'll go regardless Stevie, dont worry, Im just trying to make this a little more affordable so I might actually have a little spendin money left for the con @.@

Hey there ^^ Is it possible you could make a stop by a town a little ways off of I-80 if you're going that way. I live in Lehighton, PA which is close to Hazelton and Stroudsburg which is where U. 80 I think goes through. Also there's Rt. 209 which goes here as well. Since you're about a straight line from me perhaps you could help me out ^^

Ifs yer taking I-80 out to PA, it shouldn't be too bad. Because Route 209 starts from around Bangor, NJ and Stroudsburg, PA which I-80 runs through, getting off of I-80 to Rt. 209 and following it straight through will take you right in here. After that, you takes 209 to Hazelton, which I-80 and I-81 are. =p Or i'll just bookmark a map fer ya to simplify this. :3 Hehe. I don't have a printer so. Though it might help still.
Also i won't take up too much space either, as I'd only have one case (it's not big either). ^^ Now for personal details such as cell number and name (both I'd find useful) can go through PM if ya like ^^ or hit me up on IMs too. :3)
