I know the rooms are all filled up and only way is to find someone on the need a room board.  But I have a friend who's offering me a place at his room.  Thing is though, it is a huge suite room. He told me price for thursday night - monday morning based on split check is $350.

Based on splitting the prices (I guess normally between 4 people), what is the general cost of a room at these hotels for the 4 nights?  Just looking to figure out how much more I'd be spending to be in this room because that's a lot of money (for me anyway) not to mention what I'm going to be spending on gas (8 hour drive), food, stuff at the convention, etc.

The average cost per room for the regular rooms in the AC room block is around $130-140 per night before taxes.  Taxes add another 14% to the room cost which would bring the room cost to $150-160 a night.

The suites are more expensive.  The suite prices will depend on which suite it is.  I believe that the Corner, Family King or Family Double suites will run about $260 per night, Business King and Business Double suites run around $337 per night, 1 Bedroom Parlor about $414 per night and 2 Bedroom Parlor about $546 per night.  These prices are all before taxes.

As I figured, it's basically double the expenses.  Damn my friend for being made of money that he can afford these rooms.

This might be of interest to you...was posted in another thread.

$125 a night offer on Priceline for the Sheraton Station Square. It's about a mile's walk, and across one of the rivers. But, they are a nice hotel, and have a local area shuttle from 6:30 AM to 11 PM, every half hour, that will take you to and from the convention center.
