cooling issue
Not really a fursuit based problem in this case so feel free to move if neccassary.
I have this cloak that I'll be wearing at AC that is modeled after the organization XIII outfit from Kingdom Hearts 2. http://tinypic.com/r/34gva50/7 While the material is a little thin, it does get quite warm inside. add on the the black clothing I'll be wearing to complete the outfit, and obviously, even if I stay inside most of the time, it'll still get a bit uncomfortable in the cooling aspect (the hood is designed to cover my face). In a situation like this where i can't do the fursuit method of stitching a fan and battery to the inside of the hood or something, what would be a solution I could look into to stay cool when the hoods up?
I actually currently don't own a suit, although that is a future goal ^^ still got some details to work out, plus gotta manage to get a job to save for one ^_^;but if i could get one that i could fit that cloak over, that would be awesome. worst case, I make a second cloak thats big enough ^_^
as for the cloak itself, my mom and I actually made it from scratch ^^ did a bit of research and got some advice from a cosplayer who had made one. it didn't come out entirely perfect; a few of the figure details, just a little tight across the back if i fold my arms the wrong way; but overall it still came out great ^^ if I had the time and money to make one, I'd make a keyblade to bring along. but I doubt I'd be allowed to carry it around ^^;
What member are you going as? At Anime Matsuri me and my girlfriend are going as Luxord and Demyx (I'm Demyx). We might also go as Vexen and Zexion (me being Vexen). We love cosplaying as yaoi-ish couplings.
I don't have the pieces to go as any one particular member currently, though if I had to choose, I'd probably be the Dual Wielding Roxas from KH 1's secret ending and the final battle of 358/2 days. 2 main reasons, one, because dual wielding is awesome
and because my cloak, as you can see, is designed to be able to hide my face if I desire. and since I'm a bit more shy in person, that could be useful at times ^^
I might be able to help with the cooling problem ...I have been working on a sort of light weight suit cooling system, but I have hit a brick wall with the whole time thing(school,work,ect.).Im currently building my firsuit which has provisions for the cooling components(heat exchanger, fan, battery and various other electronics) in a backpack-like deal.....but I must warn you it does involve a little bit water
i'll admit that sounds pretty interesting ^^ like a mix between the major forms of computer cooling compacted to personal form. hope you get any brick walls broken down and the idea perfected. could be really useful if you get all the kinks worked out
After just a bit more research, there are comercial built systems to take on this task.....but just as I thought the price scares me away.I sortta got most of the stuff together except a pump which I thought I had around but apparrently not...just one more thing on the list

Sorry to say that I don't actually have any experiance making fursuits myself so I cant really help you.
But I did want to say that I lOVE that coat. I'm a huge kingdom hearts fan, and I thin that would look great over your suit!
did you make that yourself? or did you find it somewhere?
