Introducing the Anthrocon 2011 Scavenger Hunt!
The Anthropomorphic Institute of Magic RESEARCH INQUEST [also known as the 2011 Scavenger Hunt]
Six prized spells at the Anthropomorphic Institute of Magic have taken on a life of their own (who knew?) and hidden themselves within the pages of the Institute's documentation. Clues to their ownership are hidden within the wording of each cantrip, as well as a color and an animal. The top wizards and scholars are depending on you to find them, and will reward the first 500 participants who complete this quest with their very own wand!
This does look like fun. I may have to try it out if I can find the time.
I assume we staff (even we bi-sectional staff) will be told what we're listening for... 
I'm still waiting for documentation to go out that I compiled for email distribution to staff before these were posted. For whatever reason, the individual tasked with that is delayed. Regardless, I'll provide detailed information at the usual All-Staff meeting on the Thursday night before the con, along with all tools and information for each department and staff member, i.e. your stamp, color, and animal.
Oh man, this sounds better than the dino tracking from last year. How many ribbons were leftover from that venture? It was fun.
I believe there were several ribbons left last year as quite a lot of people were unaware of the scavenger hunt. Should hopefully be better this year as Rigel is really working on getting the info out there this year.

Oooh, I can't wait to do the scavanger hunt again! It was quite fun last year. :-)
Actually, I saw the thing for last year, but I was certain the set would all be found long before I got into it, so I hadn't even TRIED. It seems I wasn't the only person who thought the teens and 20-somethings would get them all immediately.
i'm gonna have to give this one a try ^^ i love puzzles, and it would give me something cool to add to one of the various display shelves i have that has room for more stuff x3
I'm in! I missed my hogwarts acceptance letter, so now I can really be a real wizard 
I'll bring my own wand for assistance but I WILL figure this out *gets ready* lol
Looking forward as a part of Staff to help this years Scavenger Hunt be a good success. I'll be sure to attend the Thursday pre-staff meeting to listen in for more details. I hope I wont be responsible for giving out any RED HERRINGS , unless of course.. that is the stamp of which needs to be stamped.
I had lots of fun doing the scavenger hunt! Although I think I was turned into a toad for a little bit when I gave one of the staff the wrong code by mistake. =) Was the turnout better this year?
This could be a fun thing to do. I'm in.
Can I claim the wand at any time, after I've collected the six stamps? Or, do I have to wait until a yet-to-be-specified day and time to pick it up?
