Anthrocon announces use of Sched for 2011!
We're trying something new this year, due to many requests for greater
online and mobile schedule co-ordination. After Midwest Furfest's
success with using Sched in 2010, we're using it ourselves in 2011!
Sched presents our schedule in a mobile-friendly fashion, and permits
attendees to select their desired events- integrating them with Google
Calendar, Microsoft Outlook and Apple iCal. It is browser-based,
meaning that it will work across all platforms- suitable for laptops,
tablets, and smartphones. It will let us make those utterly
last-minute changes we need to make at the convention every year, and
let our attendees know! And most importantly, It's absolutely free for
all attendees to use.
Our page is at: http://anthrocon2011.sched.org . Please visit, sign
up, and enjoy!
Note of caution: There may be some discrepancies between the Pocket
Schedule and the Sched information. Right this second, the Pocket
Schedule is considered more authoritative; Very Soon Now we will have
triple-checked our information. By the time the convention begins, we
expect that Sched will reflect the most up-to-date information. We
just didn't want to wait to share this!
As Kage said.. and Sched is rather a good deal, as it's Web-based not app-based and the costs are a good bit lower.
(We also didn't buy the Ultra Delux Mega Mutant Ninja Turtle Supreme Supersize package, which would have cost a lot. If Sched is well-liked this year, we'll look into such for 2012.)
This is SO SO COOL !!! I really love this new way of viewing the programming schuduals

AC needs to purchase a SCHED account feature for the mobile site to work properly. It's not pulling up as mobile-friendly on my iPhone. Thankfully, there's native iCalendar (.ics) support
Who should we contact about panels that have incorrect information for them in sched? My panel was updated in the programming booklet, but those changes have not been reflected in this sched version.
You may contact me (As I'm handlinf a bit of co-ordination this year for Sched) or KP, via methods shown at http://www.anthrocon.org/contact .

There's one issue that I saw. It lists the saturday night dance ending at 2 *PM* sunday, instead of 2 AM sunday. God, I wish it was that long.
My panel is missing it's description in Sched... Also noticed that in both Sched and the schedule two of the words were transposed... Should be "Friendly Feline Furry Fiasco," but it isn't that big of a deal.
Okay, done that. Now what?
I'm a mother pheasant plucker, I pluck mother pheasant feathers. I'm the most pleasant pheasant plucker to ever pluck a mother pheasant.

I just don't see that one ending in a family friendly way.
Now that one is difficult!
Also, YAY! Uncle Kage is talking to me!
Uncle Kage's actually a very friendly chap and talks to quite a few people. If you want him to actually remember the conversation, however, catch him outside of Anthrocon!
I said hi at Fur Fright last year! Don't know if that is any more memorable...
Fixed name and added description, by the by, on Sched.
Thank you!
Im gettin an error that there is no anthrocon sched
I saw that error, but it appears to have retuned just fine this morning.. I suspect a low-level hardware error occured on Sched's side.

Well, that's pretty neat. But wasn't there discussion on this before, and someone said such a thing wasn't possible due to the cost of registering Apps (or something like that)?
I hope this didn't set you guys back too much.
