Unofficial Official Anthrocon 2011 Droid App
Since people asked for an Android App, AndrewNeo was nice enough to write one:
It can be downloaded from here. The official website for the app can be found at http://www.myconbook.net/. Enjoy!
Not that I'm aware of. But keep in mind that both apps were made by volunteers.
Now if you want to build a Blackberry app for this con (or a future con), feel free!
very nice
Downloaded and installed. This will come in handy.
just downloaded it. looks to be very usefull, and detailed. for sure going to use this alot.
Yay! Thank you! Obtained!
gah. if i only had a little extra money to spare i'd upgrade to a Droid. but for now, i'm stuck with my old first gen blackberry storm XP oh well. paper schedule and guidebook for me i guess
Come on, the droid app has the con schedule while the iPhone app doesnt?
I need to upgrade from my first-generation iPhone, and soon.
Hey guys!
First of all... LOVE the fact that my panel is included in the preview picture of this app! Second of all.. after I downloaded this app, I checked and saw that the times are actually wrong for my panel (and I'm assuming others as well).
In the preview picture... it has the correct Whose Lion time... but in the app it lists it being at 7pm both nights (thursday and friday). Not sure if this is a glitch, but it might confuse a lot of people!
I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's because you're in the wrong timezone
It's shown in local time, and Arizona is not Eastern. (I see 10p on my device, I'm in Eastern, same as the con)
*crosses my paws and hopes that someone makes an app for blackburry*
blackberries don't have standard enough hardware to warrant many developers doing apps for them. there's blackberries with cameras, ones without, ones with scroll balls, ones with touchpad-balls, all manners of different screen resolutions....not to mention all running different versions of the OS. Not to mention there's completely different interfaces for the storms with their clicky-touchscreens.
droids are almost the same, but it's the fact that both apple and google put their SDK's out and encourage devs to make stuff. Blackberry stuff is done in Java, as well, which has a lot of limitations.
I am suddenly kicking myself for going for the Samsung impression, and not an Iphone or a droid phone.. >.>
If there's one for blackberry too, would be so awesome. ): I'm currently using Torch

Hope everyone enjoys!
