Seriously! Disposable foam ear plugs are a cheap, simple thing that may improve your weekend immensely.

And some people are loud enough that those of us who *already* use foam earplugs are woken up.  People have different sensitivities to noise.  Also, there will be people staying in the hotel who are not part of the Con.  There's no way to tell *them* to wear earplugs.

Why not just be considerate and quiet in the hotel hallways and rooms?  After all, as per the Standards of Conduct:

Gatherings in hotel rooms must not generate any noise that can be heard in neighboring rooms during nighttime hours.

Hotel doors must be kept shut during such gatherings and guests are not permitted to congregate in the hotel corridors.

Loud parties will be given a single warning to remain quiet. No second warnings will be given before action is taken by the hotel to remove the offending individuals.

Agreed, even though I cannot say I have any direct eggs in that basket.  Mutual respect is always important.

You know the thing about ear plugs is they can interfere with hearing your alarm clock depending upon how loud your alarm is and how good your ear plugs are.

I think the better option would be for people to be more quiet in the hallways and the rooms. That said I never had an issue yet with this kind of thing at the Omni.
