Already booked flight tickets and hotel and im starting to slowly run out of money!! Is it really worth buying a supersponsor registration? Being my first time im really just ging to be walking around looking at stuff and joining in if i feel like it. However ill need to eat and the last time i ventured to canada on a small budget i found that walking around the city was kinda fun and i was able to find cheap places to eat.

Am arriving on the 2nd july at around 9pm and leaving at around lunchtime on the 9th and staying in the doubletrees hotel (but i dont mind the walk).

Naturally, I'd say it is worth it! But we wouldn't want you to go broke through your generosity. Since it's your first con, try going as an attending member this year, and if you like it (which I'm sure you will!) you can become a supersponsor next year.

The corollary to the above statement is that if the con likes YOU, then you usually wind up on con staff the following year. Eye-wink

*nods* So be nice to staff. Absolutely. But not too nice. Or if you're going to be extra nice, maybe try not to be too helpful or competent. *impish grin*

Otherwise they might make you work long hours on stuff you care about with people you'd want to hang out with anyway, and they'll insist on paying your reg fees, and...

OK, so maybe it's not such and uneven trade.

Then again, i'm pretty feverish right now. Maybe you shouldn't trust me. *grin*
