I just want to wonder something that my brother and friend were expecting for the tournaments here, is there a cash prize to them?

There are occasionally cash prizes for the tournaments (at least the ones I've ran), but you shouldn't join just to win money.  Also, there was a $5 entry fee for the Rock Band tournament, which I'm sure dissuaded people from joining.  I figure if you're serious enough to join a tournament and win money, you're serious enough to put up some of your own to join in.

The DDR tournament had small cash prizes in addition to other prizes, some donated by the con and some by a contributor.

1st place - free admission to AC 2012.

2nd place - AC 2011 tote bag and $10 cash.

3rd place - free dinner at Fernando's and $10 cash.

4th place - free dinner at Fernando's and $5 cash.

There was no entry fee to play in the DDR tournament.
