Which Animal Am I Most Like!?!?
So... I've been into the fandom for about almost a year, and I'm trying to figure out which animal I'm most like: a Fox or a Wolf. My drawings are wolves, but I'm rethinking which animal I'm most like. I am nice, considerate, always trying to make people laugh, addicted to listening to dance, techno and electronic (currently) music, playing Nintendo videogames, always staying up-to-date with electronics, and to (I hope to become one) DJ. If you have an idea which animal I'm most like, or if it's a different animal other than those two, let me know!
Perhaps the answer is that you embody qualities of both animals equally. You aren't limited to just one animal when it comes to determining what you feel fits you. The freedom to take the qualities that define us from multiple animals is what makes each fursona unique.
If they're characters, feel free to create a character around each and see which one you have the most fun with.
If you're looking for a furry expression of yourself...well, it might take a little longer, but there's no reason why you can't start with one animal then sitch to another that starts to feel more like you.
Most of the traits you describe are ones that i've seen in all different types of furries, though for some reason magpies, ferrets, and otters are sticking in my head. But then i've heard folks say they chose their fursona for all sorts of reasons, including (but not limited to): "beacuse i like fish"; "because i like to climb trees"; "because i'm grouchy and i like to sleep a lot"; "because i'm all about the fun"; "because i'm really tall"; "because i wish i were really tall"; "because i feel kind of small and easy to miss"; "because it's my favorite animal"; "because one visited me in a dream once"; "because they're cool"; "because one of them was the main character in my favorite book"; "because i love to cause mischief"; "because i know how to draw them"; "Bacause i have a friend/significant other who's that kind of creature"; "because i don't know of any other fursonas that are this kind of creature".
And among the different furries i've known: whales, ferrets, foxes, wolves, dogs (multiple breeds), cats (standard and maine coon), tigers, lions, leopards, marmots, dragons (multiple types), goldfish, mice, racoons, bugs, gryphons, rabbits, squirrels, bears, kangaroos, wombats, horses, snakes... mammals are clearly more common than other things, but that's no limitation.
One way you could find a fursona you like would be to sit down with a few books of wildlife and animal types and page through them. Look for animals that interest you and read a little bit about them. then try a few of them on and see what feels right. And don't try to nail down too many details about your fursona at first; you'll grow into it.
I agree with desteredra, sometimes it takes a little patience. I don't think you should let others decide what your character should be for you, that's something you're going to have to do by yourself. However, the opinions of others are also importat. I, personally, am a wolf (some random breed of domestic dog I haven't decided yet) mix. I chose this particular character because I feel like it matches my personality, and on top of it I love canines! Sometimes it's just a matter of sitting down and thinking about it :) I had a lot of conflict with my character Glare, too. She started off as a brown tabby cat named Hawkstar, but over time evolved into the character I play and love today. I decided that I didn't like her color at first, so I made her black and left all her markings as is. Then came the species change & then the change of markings and personality. Your character will most likely grow as you do. And you can always play other characters, even if they aren't your "fursona". Sometimes it's also helpful to think outside the box. I believe one of Uncle Kage's characters was/is was Kagemushi, a cockroach. Sometimes it's the thing you wouldn't ever think of that captures your attention.
As people have been saying, you dont have to limit yourself to just one. you can combine them, or even make two different characters/fursonas! ^_^
i have 2 fursonas, and one of them is, in fact, a mix 
my fursona is a wolf/fox but if i was to be called a combonation of the two id rather becalled a wox than a folf. (personal prefrance i guess?)
It's up to you what you wish to refer to yoruself as; but the general parlance for a fox-wolf hybrid in the fandom for a fox and wolf hybrid is a folf, has been for over a decade, and is unlikely to change.
A fursona (pl. fursonas, sometimes furson) refers to a character or identity assumed by a person or player normally associated with the furry fandom.
So pretty much just a furry character that represent yourself.

see how my name is "slick kat", and my avatar is a cat? that's a feral version of my fursona. it's the animal that represents my furry essence. some people have multiple fursonas, and assign them to an individual fursuit or an rp character. since your name is "eddy wolfy", i'm going to guess that your fursona would be a wolf.
Exactly i get it now. It's something like yore caracter's personality. Thank you and....am ..wat exactly is the furry fandom? Sory i'm relativly new but i only have to ask once.
It's a collective term for all those who choose to call themselves furries or furry fans. Which term you use (and whether you use either) is a pretty individual matter, but anyone who identifies as one of them is included in the wider international community we call the fandom.
I think you suit both animals. There's nothing wrong with being a mixed breed

If you really cannot stick with one or the other, and if mixed breeds aren't your thing, might I suggest having multiple fursonas? There's nothing wrong with that at all. A lot of the well-known furries have multiple fursonas: Mangusu (Mangusu [mongoose], Tac [cat], and MonsterRoo [kangaroo]); JD Puppy (JD Puppy [dog], Fooey [foo dog], Tux [cat], and Buddy [husky]); and Coopertom (Coopertom [cat], Shedz [dog], and Rockit [wolf]), to name a few.
So, go ahead! Have the best of both worlds!
Accually Mangusu has 4 fursona's; Daxter(Otter Weasel Mix), Chopper(Deer), Tac(Cat), and Monster Roo(Kangaroo)

I forgot that I read on WikiFur that Mangusu did indeed have Daxter (from Jak & Daxter) and Chopper (from One Piece). For that matter, there is no mongoose fursuit for Mangusu... yet. As far as I've heard/read, I can only imagine it wll be in the works soon.
