Beaks = Bothering AKA I need help with fursuit beaks
Well, I am RandomParrot, and I want to make another fursuit when I finish my current one, which you will think is rubbish so I won't post here, I need some help with beaks that are not curved and stay very close to a birds face. I do not need help with budgie beaks, but I need help with parrot and macaw beaks. Seeming as I totally fail at drawing, I commissioned somebody on a pet adoptable website to draw me a ref sheet for my main feathersona. All credit goes to Faylen of Chicken Smoothie for the following art.

Any way I could make a beak like that?
I can make you an entire bird mask shell with a fully articulated macaw beak that opens and closes when you talk out of cast resin for less than 100 dollars. You can then paint the beak any color you want, it would have a foam tongue and whatever color bird eyes you want, then you can fur it yourself, I could have it molded in less than a month, I have a canine and feline shell mold but a bird and a dragon are on my wish list of molds to make so it is something I really want to do anyway.I can even do light up eyes!

What you could do is shape your "Beak" similar to how people shape muzzles but make it beak like following the shape you need. Then use something like fleece that is the correct color to layer over it for a "Softer effect". This won't create a shiny and realistic beak. You could use a faux leather, like a suede but with whatever you cover the beak in you have to be very careful that you don't get wrinkling. It's difficult with thinner fabrics.
Some people have used a method that includes carboard, popsicle sticks, wire, modge-podge, and liquid latex. I don't have a link handy that deals with that method. It is supposed to be very good if you figure it out and can afford the materials.
