In early January last year, Kage posted a article here with a title like "Westin suites now available" on January 7.  I assume that suites are not yet available and that he'll follow the same procedure this year: you'll have to contact him personally.

I wouldn't expect such an announcement before early in January 2012, personally.

if theres a designated date for hotel rooms set ahead  of time.I think it would be most fair to set a date for when suites would go on sale for those (not me ) who are so inclined to spring for the luxury of a suite.

Suites will become available in early January, very likely in the first week.

I always wanted to get a suite, but I still have the early hotel checkin thing, and since I am a bit terrible at math, I don't want to keep track of how much people owe me in a suite room heh, but I'll still book a regular room to help some people secure a spot at the Westin.

Do we know of when the prices for the rooms are to be posted? Like to see what I need to save to get the down-payment on the suites.

If the other years are any guide, it will be somewhat comparable....

www.anthrocon.org/node/6667/average-cost-hotel-room

"he average cost per room for the regular rooms in the AC room block is around $130-140 per night before taxes. Taxes add another 14% to the room cost which would bring the room cost to $150-160 a night.

The suites are more expensive. The suite prices will depend on which suite it is. I believe that the Corner, Family King or Family Double suites will run about $260 per night, Business King and Business Double suites run around $337 per night, 1 Bedroom Parlor about $414 per night and 2 Bedroom Parlor about $546 per night. These prices are all before taxes. "

"Here are descriptions of the Westin’s suites (and they have done some remodeling since we were there last) and the 2010 prices for Anthrocon members. Prices do not include tax (about 14%):

1) CORNER SUITE ($250 per day). A bedroom with a king-sized bed, and a separate, small parlor room with a table and a sofa (roughly 640 sq ft). Note that few of these are available on Sunday night due to an incoming group behind us. You would need to switch to a standard room for Sunday night if you wanted to stay that long.

2) WORKOUT KING ($250 per day). A bedroom with a king-sized bed and a separate medium-sized parlor to get your morning aerobics in. It even includes some weights, an exercise ball, and more.

3) WORKOUT DOUBLE ($250 per day). A bedroom with a king-sized bed and a separate medium-sized parlor to get your morning aerobics in.

4) BUSINESS KING ($329 per day). A very large single room with a king-sized bed and a huge amount of space, about 729 square feet total.

5) BUSINESS DOUBLE ($329 per day). A very large single room with two double beds and a huge amount of space, about 729 square feet total."
