I'm wondering what the average room cost is? I've been told its around 100$, and some have told me its more then that. I know this is early, but i am trying to let people know how much to put aside for rooms, and how much people need to pitch in for room reserves.

Prices will be posted closer to the opening of Hotel Rooms on Feb 2nd; but for a hotel in Anthrocon's Room Block (which is about as cheap as you can find rooms in downtown hotels) You should expect about $130-$140, plus taxes. $160 per room per night is a safe margin to budget for.

...And just so that there is no confusion, that cost is per room, per night.

What this means is: if you are going to AnthroCon with up to three friends ("And The Counting Shall Be Three..."), you can all share the room, and split the cost amongst all four of you.  Room-Share works great for your wallet!

Ah, Monty Python reference.

Yes, roomshare works very well for financial consideration.  If you like your privacy (like a certain flame-crested gryphoness), then prepare to save up accordingly.  If you'd like to roomshare, we have two entire sections for those looking for rooms/people to fill out rooms.  Just make sure you know what you're getting into as far as rooming with people you may not know well.

Blackjack wrote an excellent post (and replies) covering a bit of what roomsharing info you might need:  http://www.anthrocon.org/node/6272/advice-and-sample-roomie-request

Good luck!

I've actually already have my room filled with friends. Just needed to let people know their share. Smiling Thanks though!
