I bet the fursuiters will be nice and warm in their suits at least! (As opposed to passing out and sweating buckets).

Most definately. I felt awefull for the fursuiters last Year at the con. I was boiling in jeans and a t-shirt, I couldnt imagine what a fursuite would be like!
Too bad you couldnt add some form of heat/cooling system in a fursuite eh?

Actually, i've heard tell that many do you couldn't have goofy at disney world in midsummer otherwise. They just have to do it carefully.
I remember someone commenting that if you put in a system that mostly cools the back of your neck, for instance, you can fool your body into thinking you're cooler than you are, then pass out from heat stroke.

We're expecting snow here in a couple of hours. But it'll be gone in a week or two... I guarantee it. Old Man Winter never gives up without a fight up north, that's for sure.
Takala, as cool as it is to have a countdown... 'tis better not to count the days.
I said this before and I'll say it again. Anthrocon will be here before you know it, so cherish these days, it will pass *very* quickly.
If 90 was a number in dollars, that's the average amount of money spent in a week for us in Anoka.

More of the April snow. Must have been a late April Fool's joke played by Mother Nature.
'cause after all, it takes a while for weather patterns to move in and all that.
I personally love the snow, there's nothing like it and it's really the only reason I can manage to stay living in New England. The only downside is that I hate the cold, and currently there is no way to have snow and warm weather at the same time.

Nope, never really been there. I've flown over it a few times, landed in a airport, going down to Australia. But beyond that, nope.

--Furrydelphia (as Elton John sings, "Philadelphia Furry-dom")
--Pittsfurgh
---Raccoon plunges three stories, and lives!

I disagree with your comment about winter, but it does have a place and time and I think it's a bit late in the year to still be getting snow! I think winter is great as long as it takes place, y'know.. in WINTER

permalinkI am tired of winter too. And they are calling for a possible 2 inches of snow this weekend OY!!!

permalinkOh I do like snow, in the winter. Its spring now. Time for running around like a nut, chasing my tail.
- Login or register to post comments
permalinkHa! I know better. There has not been a single snowfall you haven't complained about since I've known you (more specifically you hate the cold, but since one cannot exist without the other...).
And when has the weather EVER prevented you from running around like a nut? You do that every day regardless
-There is no truth

permalinkGuilty as charged. But the reason I have complained about every snowfall this year is because they were mostly ice, and no fun to run around in.

My sentiments exactly. I'm all about 4, count 'em, 4 seasons that follow their standard patterns of weather behavior. That means my winters had better have snow, my summers had better be nice and warm, and so on.

I got ya all beat, I live in Ohio here and it snowed normally in most parts of the state, but so far south of Lake erie just sortof got this strip of the thickest, deepest(2-3 feet), most horrible blizzard Ive seen in my life and I drove through it all just to go to a Rocky Horror Picture show furmeet in Cleveland Heights. And with no studs on my car I might add, just water treads. Just me and one fursuiter showed up, but it was SO worth it. Had lots of fun.
