   Hi everyone,

   I have a friend that after seeing how nicely my tail turned out she wants me to make her some bat wings. I was wanting sugestions on what to use as the 'bones' in the wings. She wants it to attach at her shoulder blades and be the length of her height and I was thinking of attaching the wings to her wrists via glover, so they replicate bat hand/claw things.

So my non rambled question is;

What will be the best thing to use between the shoulders and wrist. Flexible is good.

Consider thin PVC pipe.

Thanks, I am thinking of putting a 'joint' at the elbow, I have a good idea of how I will do this (idea just came to me as I was typing this post Smiling)

Drywall hanging wire, make it thicker with strips of broadcloath dipped in coloured latex, or electrical tape. Whatever your budget allows.

You might also consider the thin fiberglass poles that they use to hold warning flags around construction sites (check a contractor supply place).  Fiberglass fishing poles would also work (there is a tail making thread here with that), but that is more costly.

  I had a look at the tail making thread talking about the fishing rod method when I was first looking at making my tail. The link for the instructions doesnt work so the thread wasnt very helpful.
