Question about Sponser and Supersponsers "Unique Gift"
I've been a Supersponser for the past three conventions but I think I'm going to go with being a Sponser this year. My question is, will the "Unique Gift" that is given to Supersponsers be available for purchase for Sponsers? I think I remember seeing that you could, but I don't remember if it was because there were extras and they were putting them up for sail since the ones who prereged never showed up to the con or not. Thank you for your time. 
I do believe one year was a shiny necklace thing the aliens year. I think last year was a magic wand? I know we get tshirts and prints each year and theres the supersponsor luncheon with the guests of honor.Its usally some small cool object bu its not like anything valuable or expensive otherwsie it would defeat the purpose of the supersponsor fees.they are to help pay for the con.
oh true true... I don't expect it to be flash and expensive, it's not the reason i went supersponsor... I'm far more excited for the GOH luncheon and artist/dealer reception.
I see. I'd like to be a supersponser again this year but I just don't really think I can. I feel bad because I know that's less money for the con but I'm just not sure. 
What I was thinking was if something like the bag from last year and the flag from the year before where available for purchase to those who weren't supersponsers.
hey if you cant afford it you cant. Theres no shame in that. I think they sold flags as a regular thing. I had almost forgotten about that. I have mine hanging off my one lamp in my living room.Thats been the best freebie so far in my opinion. I assume they make extra of the items on purpose if they think they will sell but probably not too many.

I have to agree with rick. I'm all for spending money to help the con do well and be as fabulous as it can possibly be, but your first responsibility is to take care of yourself. Ordinarily i'd assume you know that, but every year we have a few folks who spend every penny just getting to the con and don't leave themselves anything for food during the trip or living expenses when they get home. So make sure you'll be ok first!
With that in mind, i don't think many of us will know what that gift is until we get to the con. But the last several years the board has found ways to make that special gift available to those who aren't supersponsors or staff (sale at con store, scavenger hunt), and it's likely that the same will be true of this year.
I do indeed make sure I have money for myself. Food isn't really an issue because I usually bring food with me which saves me the trouble of going out to eat. Though to be honest, I am very curious about the dining Pittsburge has to offer. The main problem for not being able to go supersponser this year is the fact that I'm going to a couple of Anime conventions with my friends as well. They're certainly cheaper as I have people to split room costs with but it still takes a bit of money. Like my previous Anthrocons, chances are I'll be by myself so I'll be paying for the room in it's entirety and thus need a good bit more money and with the other cons, I can't really go supersponser.

The short answer: Maybe.
The long answer: It depends upon the cost of the item, the production run we make, and the salability of the item. Generally speaking, the item is likely to be for sale, but we will have a limited amount.. we order enough to ensure our Supersponsors have them, with the rainder up for sale. We plan to run out though; reselling such things in future years is often problematic. We may not have any, we may have plenty. The onyl way to ensure you get said items is to be a Supersponsor instead of a Sponsor.
The typical art prints available are not, and shall not be for sale; they are Supersponsor-exclusive.

You know on the subject of the supersponsor gifts and the conbag, I've been looking around to see if I can find out what was in past conbags and what the "gifts" were... but so far I've found nothing regarding either...
