Kennywood thursday! Join us!
Every year, my friends and I hit Kennywood, a wonderful classic amusement park twenty minutes or so from Downtown Pittsburgh, on Thursday before the con. Usually, we'll get there around noon and come back just in time for the Thursday night dance. Kennywood's an amazing park, and it's always a great time, but...the more the merrier, so as always I'm leaving an invite here for anyone that wants to join us! Let me know if you're interested, and maybe we can set up a group trip. 18+ please, unless you'll have a parent or guardian with you; sorry, not trying to leave anyone out, I just can't be reponsible for minors I don't know personally.
I know there are other groups that usually go to Kennywood on Saturday and Monday as well, so keep an eye out for posts from them if you're interested but can't go Thursday.

Ah Kennywood. I've been there every year since I was little. I live not too far from Pittsburgh, and Kennywood is a realatively cheap amusement park. Since I've gotten my license I've gon myself or with friends a bunch of times just cause it's close and cheap. I'm only 17 so I probably won't meet up with any of yinz, but a notice that the new roller coaster that they built isn't all that great. The phantom is much better. I miss the original steel phantom though. But nothing ever compares as to when I was little and me and my best friend where there with our families. We where standing at the bottom of the Pittsburgh plunge. See when he was little he moved in from Philly and was never to Kennywood before until now. So we where standing there I was expecting to get wet. Him eating popcorn did not. The water took him (and his popcorn) by surprise. Funniest thing I ever saw. P.S. Potato patch fries are the best. I actually waited in line longer there then I did for any ride.
