As it turns out (though I'm sure people who were at AC last year already know this), the David L. Lawrence Convention Center is almost just across the river from PNC Park, home of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Well, AC weekend this year is the weekend before the All-Star Break, and the Pirates will be at home the entire time. Mon-Thu July 2-5 will be against the Milwaukee Brewers, and Fri-Sun July 6-8 will be against the Chicago Cubs. Getting to PNC Park is easy. Just walk west on Fort Duquesne Blvd. (Don't take the 10th St. Bypass, it goes under the bridges) to the Roberto Clemente Bridge (6th St.). The Roberto Clemente Bridge is made pedestrian-only on game days. General seating is $9-$35, with a mezzanine club at $52 and the closest seats around home plate at $160-$210. Outfield seating is limited, but priced at $9, $12, $14 and $17. Just a little heads-up for all you baseball fans. |

As great as it sounds to take in a game, I will be nearly dead at the end of each day of the con. Although I am comming to Pitt. Wednesday, so maybe I can see the game that day.
