At the moment my paws are cloth, I'm looking to add rubber soles so i can wear my suit outside, does anyone have the best idea on how to do this? Also cleaning them has become near impossible, I'm just lucky I haven't stepped in gum.....yet?!?!?!?

well, you could have it done by a fursuit maker or taxidermy company. there is always the option of just sewing them on yourself though.

I have seen a couple of suiters that made sandals or shoes for their suits.

In each instance that I have seen they took one of those soft black rubber exercise mats (less than 1/2 inch thick) and traced their foot paw to form the sole of the sandal/shoe. Then they added a means to attach that to an existing footpaw.

In the case of the sandal they added straps that velcro'd to hold the sandal onto the foot. In the case of shoes, they glued cloth to the sole. The shoe looked alot harder to make but looked very nice.

If you see an otter running around AC with tennis shoes on, you will know that I finally got off my tail and made some myself.

Sandals are the best way to go. Get some thick(And I mean thick) material of some sort- anything durable will do- vulcanized rubber, the stuff they make foamies out of(The like.. 2" thick version), anything thats at least an inch thick. Get about two feet of that. Cut out two pieces that will fit the bottom of your feet, maybe a little bigger. Get some thick rope, elastic, or anything really, and fix it into the base so that it'll loop around your toes/tops of the feet, and around your ankles(Velcro ftw). You're good to go.
