Restaurant list
I don't know whose idea it was to include the restaurant list in last years welcome bag, but that person gets my "Gold Star of the Con" award. What a great and helpful idea!
Two quick questions about this: Are you going to do a restaurant list this year? And if so, would it be possible to in some way highlight those restaurants that deliver to the Westin?
And another thing: How about noting restaurants that are open after 6 p.m.?!
Yes! We are in the process of developing a NEW and IMPROVED Restaurant Guide, based on the feedback and suggestions we received from our attendees in our post-con survey. The Guide will be a standalone publication seperate from the conbook. You'll find it in the bag you get at registration.
Several attendees asked if there would be a way to indicate restaurants which are open late, offer delivery, and so on. (We also learned where our attendees' favorite places to eat were.) We will certainly try to include as much information as we can in the new Guide. -:)
Looking forward to Anthrocon 2007!

rar...
are there and Primanti Brothers restaurant on that list? It's ne of those local restaurants that everyone in the area knows. Their speciality is a meat sandwhich with fries and slaw in the sandwhich.
It can't be NEW and IMPROVED, it's either NEW OR IMPROVED
However... I tried calling August Henry's and their phone number is disconnected. Their website doesn't say anything about them being closed. I need to talk to them about a special dinner I'm putting together and I would like to call ahead or make reservations. Can someone knowledgeable about the area tell me if August Henry's has gone belly up or if they are just having telephone problems?
Thanks!

Since they've been posting about running Karaoke on (at least) Friday and Saturday nights and Bill Holbrook has arranged his Patron Dinner there, I'd say they're still in business.
(Also, you really should check the dates over the poster's icons: most of the posts here are from 2007...)

Yes.
Hmm. Interesting idea. We'll look into that.
