Natasha's Mom Posts:

    Dark Mumsy again. Here's the good news, Natasha is finally out of hospital and on her way to the family home in Evergreen as I post this. Now the bad news, it appears the driver of the other vehicle (a 2001 Chevy Tahoe) was uninsured. The police still haven't released the accident report but we hold out little hope that Natasha's red Subaru will ever see the road again. Back to the good news. SHE'S GOING TO BE O.K. We, her family. want to thank all of you truly wonderful friends, fans and fellow artists for your overwhelming words of cheer and support and beautiful flowers that you have sent. Natasha is blessed beyond compare to have all of you in her life. Thank you so much and I hope to see you all again when I come to Anthrocon with Daaaarrrrrrk Naaataaashaa!!!

Uninsured huh! Maybe we should start up a collection. All I can say is I hope justice is better served for you than it was for my Stepfather. He was rear ended by a young punk that was uninsured, and his insurance company was only able to get him 25,000. This amount was far less than the doctor bills. Plus my stepfather was disabled due to sesures caused by the impact. Good luck to Nark Natasha we all wish you well.

At least he got something... I got rear ended by an uninsured motorist who also had a fake license plate. He fled the scene, and I was left with a messed up back/neck, and a completely broken pickup truck.

There should be a law that uninsured drivers who cause accidents are to be eaten by lions...

We wouldn't mind enforcing it... >:}

and wolves too, dont forget us canids. yes, we cant maul things quite as quickly as you cats and your uber sharp claws, but our claws are more stubbly, so its gonna be a prolonged agony, which is MUCH better for slow painful torture. Imagine having someone saw through your arm with a dull toothpick.

In all honesty, a better law would be one that forced the person to be sent to a work camp where he/she would work hard labor till he/she paid off the entire debt. This way we all could be covered and protected from people like that. Most people just pick up insurance to cover damages in case you hit someone else, but if another person hits you, you arent ever completely protected because of people like that who drive uninsured.

But I wish DN the best of luck. If the cops caught him/her, then there is a chance they can force the person to pay out of his/her own pocket instead of with insurance. No telling how much they can get out of them in payment.

How do you measure the debt of a loss of limb or life?

Work 'til the death! :-/ Unfortunately that wouldn't be constitutional.
